Good Morning Beautiful People! I am looking to use and 3g/4g usb modem for the tetra/nano. I've scrubbed the forums and the only thing I found was a Huawei one thats for outside of the US. I am in New Jersey and I have good coverage with pretty much any carrier in the area I'm just confused on what USB modem I should get that 100% compatible and what carrier. Anybody currently using one? If so what model/carrier? I'm new to this 3g/4g modem game but it would be nice to remotely deploy it. I have thought about buying a cheap phone with a prepaid data plan and just use USB Tether and the Pineapple Connector as well but would really prefer a USB 3g/4g modem. Any help would be fantastic! Thanks!
I brought my Tetra to Europe and I lost 1 antenna. Do you guys have a replacement set I can buy or a link to the correct SMA antenna? I am having a hard time finding them on the interwebz. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
In the section Networking of the pineapple application is possible connect the interface wlan1 to a wifi but this method only works with WPA encryption, using WEP protocol simply doesn't connect.This happens because the api of the module 'networking' (/pineapple/modules/Networking/api/module.php), in the function connectToAP(), is only designed to modify the wireless configuration file (/etc/config/wireless) in the case that the encryption be open or differents types of WPA.This is not exactly a bug, simply the function wasn't designed to all cases but I think that is really interesting at least have the WEP protocol because is unusual but unfortunately is used and is a weakness that in a pentest can be used to provide internet to our device.To fix this issue I modified the file '/pineapple/modules/Networking/api/module.php' adding to the switch the case of WEP protocol, because it's neccessary modify the variable of configuration 'encrypt', in this case is ' web', and the key should be the hexdump of the string.
