  1. I'm having trouble getting any of my USB wifi appaters to power up and/or show up with ifconfig or iwconfig. I've got all 4 lights going on the pineapple and currently using it's wifi between my ap and laptop. Going into configuration infusion and running 'lsusb' returns the following. Executing 'lsusb': Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 001 Device 002: ID 058f:6254 Alcor Micro Corp. Any other ways to start trouble shooting this or better googling terminology. I keep hitting dead ends. Is there a tutorial/wiki that I've missed out on? The adapters used thus far: AWUS036NHR small unknown no-name usb wifi dongle USB thumbdrives will light up... this is next on my list of todo's https://scotthelme.co.uk/wifi-pineapple-usb-storage-and-infusions/ thx, H
  2. DuckyEncoder GUI 1.0 I've developed a GUI for the DuckyEncoder. It's based on the DuckyEncoder 2.6.3, but is a standalone, runnable jar file. No installation required! It should work on all operating systems, but I only tested it with Windows! You can specify an input file, a layout file, and an ouput file. It is possible to browse the computer for said files, or enter the path manually! The layout files are included in the jar, so you don't need an extra resources folder somewhere on your computer. Leave the layout file blank, and the standard one is being used. If you specify an input file, the editor automatically opens it and shows the content including syntax highlighting (for the most commands, not all keys yet). It is also possible to just start writing your code in the editor and export it right away, or saving the code in a file! If you click export bin and everything's ok, the .bin file will be exported to the path specified in output path! To run the program just double click the downloaded .jar file! Reviews are highly appreciated! If you notice any bugs or have suggestions for more features - tell me! This program is open source licensed - https://github.com/m1s73r/duckygui (If you're a developer and want to help contact me!) DOWNLOAD
  3. My Mark V Pineapple doesn't recognize my USB drive as an available location to save Infusions, I have installed and formatted a SanDisk 16 GB MicroSD card in my Mark V pineapple. I also formatted a Kingston USB Stick and installed that into the USB slot. The MicroSD Card is available as a valid location to which I can install infusions to, but the USB Stick does not. Appear as a valid choice where I can install infusions to. I am hoping that someone can help me with the objectives listed below: (1) Verify that the USB Stick is recognized by the pineapple's OS post format (2) Determine if any additional configuration steps must be performed to make the USB Stick become a valid location to install infusions while also keeping the MicroSD working as a valid location so that I can install infusions to either the MicroSD Card or the USB Stick. The contents of the fstab config are shown below (I do not know if the fstab needs to be edited to fix the issue?) The USB is formatted in EXT4 and is appears as BUS001 Device004: ID 0930:6545 Toshiba Corp. Kingston DataTraveler under attached USB devices. The screenshot below shows how the MicroSD Card storage is an option but not the USB. Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  4. So I've ran the PeToUSB successfully on a 8gb Stick, I've formatted it to FAT32 After the error. I've installed grub4dos and moved the gldr file, created menu.lst. Thing is that Darren starts talking alot of tech stuff after he explained how to do that. Should I mount the .iso of the program I want to use and Take a couple of folders from it and put in root directory of usb? and What folders and files??? Since people have alot of problems with their computers around here I figured I can make some extra cash by helping them out. I would like to look professional with a uber multipass when I show up ofc :). Thanks you guys, please help me! Edit; Im from Sweden btw
  5. Hi guys! So I'm deplyoing my Duck at work , and I have a script (Thanks to DuckToolKit) that saves the user and hardware info of their computer. We're doing an inventory basically. The output of the script saves it as a Report.zip, but I have about 200 computers to go through. Is it possible to have an IF 'Report.zip'=EXIST Then EXIST +1 Basically if Report.zip exists , rename the file to Report1, and so on so the final will have Report, Report1, Report 2, etc. Thanks!! 7. Hello hackers, coders and imagineers, I don't know if the Rubber Ducky is looking for an upgrade anytime soon, but if so I have a few ideas based on a recent project of mine, which uses the Teensy 3.1. Firstly, the one way nature of the device makes it difficult to acquire information from the host system. I see you have solved this by suggesting that a USB drive is used in parallel with the Rubber Ducky. Whilst this is a solution, it would be nice if the device could imitate a hub and provide the functionality of both the Rubber Ducky and a USB drive. Though, this will increase the hardware requirements and cost, so may not be ideal. In my project I simply used the onboard EEPROM to store data, which removes the need for two USB sticks, but severely limits the amount of non-volatile memory available. So, the addition of some non-volatile memory that can be written to and then read from at a later time would be nice to see on the Rubber Ducky. Secondly, although there is non-volatile memory available on the Teensy, this doesn't solve the problem of feedback: How do you get the data mined from the host system back on to the device? This is difficult since the device is pretending to be a keyboard and keyboards generally don't require feedback. In my project I utilised the fact that whilst the Teensy emulated a keyboard it could simultaneously run a serial connection. In this way I could get the Teensy to find the relevant information and then send it to itself via an open serial link. This opens up the use of the available non-volatile memory as mentioned above, but also many other things that weren't possible without feedback. For example, in my project I mess with the "networksetup" command in terminal, which, in most cases requires the user to specify the hardware port in question. As such, the first thing I do is to get a list of all the ports on the host system. This is then fed back in to the Teensy, which searches for the hardware port related to the WiFi. Then this information can be used to send commands to turn the WiFi card off, change the AP to which the host system is associated or just gather more information. This could be a huge advantage if implemented on the Rubber Ducky. Lastly, with most keystroke injection attacks commands have to be sent and then there's a delay whilst the host system executes the command. However, these delays can vary wildly making them very difficult to predict. In my project I added a debug mode option, which allows the user to step through chunks of code so that the variable delays can be controlled by the user. Additionally, these types of attacks are unreliable, since a program may not start as expected or a pop up gets in the way. For this reason I also added a reset button, so that if the attack fails it can quickly be reset and start again without having to unplug and replug in the device. These can be very useful in practise, however they both require the addition of a button, which could make the Rubber Ducky look less like a legitimate USB drive. As a side note, another thing I found useful was an LED indicating when the program was complete. It's especially convenient when you are unable to see the screen of the host system. If anyone is interested this is the link to my project called the WiFi Pixie: http://www.instructables.com/id/WiFi-Pixie/ There's code there as well, which is the most interesting part of this project. The Teensy platform is good if anyone wants to get very hands on with this type of pen testing tool. It uses the Arduino IDE and will require some knowledge of C. But if you're more familiar with scripting languages and you want an easy device to plug-and-play with, then the Rubber Ducky is probably a better option. I would also be interested to hear of any other ideas people have for this kind of device... Hack on!
  8. Hi ! I know that you can already find a small number of payloads on Github, but there are many more that have been created by the community. For example, we found none for Android on GitHub. And, I have experienced the difficulty to find exactly what I need ;) That's why I think it would be a good initiative to gather as much as possible payloads on this topic. If you have created an effective and fun on, or if you use regularly one made by another member, why not post it below to share it ? (select those who are not already on GitHub for the moment please) If you are interested, try to complete a short form of this type and post it below. Title : Author : Target : Description : Obviously, if it does not seem to be a good idea, let me know -_-
  9. I am trying to set a 3gb partition and a 20gb partition both in ntfs format. Everytime I put two partitions on the drive, windows will only show one partition. The reason for doing this is my multi-pass boot-disc will not work on a drive over 8 gigabytes when I use an iso imager such as Ultra Iso or Pendrive unless the iso is larger than 4gb and I am working with an iso that is less than 700mb. Is there any way I can make windows recognize both partitions on this usb drive ? If not, is there a way for me to take my Hiren Boot CD and use Pendrive Linux or Ultra ISO and force the image write to that 23gb drive ? One other question: When I used Ultra ISO, it kept telling me my usb device was busy and ask me to unplug and reconnect my usb device in order to complete the iso write to disk process. Then it would completely fail. Is there a work around for this ? And why does it only do this to certain iso files of a certain size and usb drives of a certain size ? ( I have tried using fat-16-32 and NTFS file system format to complete this process and no luck)
  10. So I got my rubber ducky, put the micro sd card into the USB adapter and plugged it in to a computer. I have tried multiple machines with various operating systems and every time except for two i have received a message that says "Please insert disk into removable disk(*drive letter here*)" I have tried changing the drive letter, disabling some drivers, and taking out the us and putting it back in. I have also tried multiple ports and nothing seems to do the trick. Anyone know what to do?
  11. Okay so I ordered the Rubber ducky earlier this week and got it yesterday I've spent the better part of the day (roughly 14 hours) just playing around with it however when i try to use the online script generator to add a new admin user to windows all it seems to do is open a large series of windows and tabs the only thing i can assume is that my navigation lay out is different than the template used to design the scripts for the generator... i have no problem just scripting this myself but I'm not familiar with all of the code involved between windows Linux and android by any chance is there a how to or a compilation of the different keyboard commands for android thanks in advance for any help and thanks for taking the time to read my frustrated ramblings :-)
  12. Hey, I am looking for a USB Rubber Ducky from someone in Europe because it's 47 dollars to ship from the U.S.A to the Netherlands. Let me know if you want to sell yours and if you live in Europe Thanks! - Jesse
  13. Hi there, I've been searching around the forum but can't find any definitive information.. I saw there are two wiki pages dedicated to this, but they don't contain information yet: http://wiki.wifipineapple.com/index.php/Modems http://wiki.wifipineapple.com/index.php/Compatible_Modems Can anyone recommend any 21 Mbps (HSPA+) 3G dongle that works out of the box with the WiFi Pineapple? Or with a readily available script? :) Preferably one that allows an external antenna to be attached to it. Thanks a bunch in advance, ocn^
  14. I had my Rubber Ducky for a while now. I understand that the supplied microSD card is FAT formatted but over time of formatting it (to FAT) I can't read or write from it. Windows tells me to format it but fails to. I tried every formatting method and can't find a solution. As of now I believe it's dead. I have a 8gb microsd(HC) but can't format it to FAT only FAT32. Can someone point me in the direction to a link to buy a FAT microSD card or help me out. Any reply is acceptable.
  15. Hi everybody ! the first , sorry everybody because my english not good. I have a problem with usb hub. I have a wifi pineapple and i put usb hub( the picture ) , but don't successfull . In dmesg show picture. Please help me. Thank you!
  16. I got a pineapple months ago and I believe I bricked it. I pressed the reset button on the bottom of it, which I believe started the whole thing. Anyway I got a serial to usb adapter from the Hak Shop and started debricking it. I ran into a problem when I pressed enter after using the command "bootm 0x9f650000" It started rebooting again and again. I left it alone for a minute then just decided to connnect the serial adapter back up to it about ten minutes later just to watch what it was doing. I dont know what happened but it stopped and I could finish debricking it. I got the latest version of the pineapple installed which is version 3.0.0 and it seemed to be fine. removing the serial adapter if the pineapple was on or off didnt help it keeps booting then rebooting. I tried messing around with the 3 serial pins to see if maybe it had something to do with it but things just got weirder. I found out as long as the serial to usb device was connect to my computer and the ground connection was the only pin connected to the pineapple it would work just fine. However id like to button it up and use it away from my desk. I have thought about maybe connecting the ground pin to the negative or some other grounding part of the board to keep it running but I havent found anything in the forums about this yet. Any idea's guy?????
  17. Hi, I have a new mark IV with pineapple juice battery, but I don't have a USB to DC barrel cable to connect battery to mark iv. I saw that there are different USB to DC cables like 5,00 mm /0.91mm,3.5mm/1.3mm and so on. Can someone tell me what size of USB to DC is for mark IV?

  19. First, let me just say I am completely new to pen testing and such but I am a veteran tech and I want to learn more. I recently got something in the mail that was a promotion for a new TV series. Attached to the side of a fake old 5 1/4 in floppy I noticed a USB edge connector. Printed on the side it read "Insert this into your computer to watch the first full episode now!". I thought for sure that they wouldn't give out a video on a thumb drive so I checked it out. When I plugged it in, it acted a lot like the Rubber Ducky I've seen on Hak5 (a clever bit of marketing I must say). I'm sure that it was coded as a HID because I saw it rapidly open the "Run" box then type a URL to go to it's website and then I assume hit OK or enter to execute it. My question is, can I modify this device to make it more like a Ducky? What tools would I use to explore/modify it's contents? Thanks in advance, I love this forum.
  20. Hey guys! So for some reason our old #ducky channel on the IRC died, but now it's alive again! So there is now a place to discuss the Duck in IRC, too. The channel is on the official Hak5 IRC (Secfo), at either irc.hak5.org #ducky or irc.secfo.org #ducky on ports 6669 or 7000 for SSL! Come and join in :D -Foxtrot

  22. I purchased a shiny new Pineapple MK4 (v.3.0.0) at DefCon, along with the ALFA USB adapter and the high-gain antenna. I wanted to test this out at the con, but due to the problem I am about to explain (and a strong desire to not use the WiFi at the event) I was unable to get this working. I think I might have a borked ALFA adapter, but I wanted to confirm that I am not being an idiot. I am Linux savy, but it is not my day-to-day computer. I mainly use a Mac (currently Mavericks). I did get a bad Pineapple Juice which Paul was nice enough to swap on the spot at the convention. Scenario: Enable Pineapple to operate independently (w/o a laptop) to deliver selective payloads and pass all other traffic to the Internet. Pineapple uses the antenna it came with, and the ALFA uses the high-gain antenna. * Potentially use Pineapple Juice, if power requirements line up. Setup: Connect Pineapple to laptop via POE LAN ethernet & 12v power adapter. Note: Base 3.0 firmware. Only change was root password. Can't proceed with the other connection commands, because the radio shuts off. (iwconfig, dhclient) I have previously tried using the network manager and wifi infusions with the same results (turn radio on give blue light, scanning turns off light). I read somewhere that flashing the the firmware might fix the problem, which is what has put me back to the base configuration. Also tried swapping antennas and using no antenna at all... It doesn't work on my Mac either, but that could just be an OS X thing. I don't know what else to do, because it feels like I am going around in circles chasing this blue light. Thanks in advanced for the help.
  23. On my usb port I'm using usb memory stick (http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/25882-how-to-enable-usb-mass-storage-with-swap-partition/'>made like this) I'm using usb memory for saving "infusions aka modules" Can I use this same usb memory stick for saving files in /<root>/? e.g.: http://hak5.org/hack/pineapple-phishing Begin by downloading and installing the following packages from downloads.openwrt.org: libopenssl_0.9.8i-3.2_mips.ipk, php4_4.4.7-1_mips.ipk, php4-cgi_4.4.7-1_mips.ipk and zlib_1.2.3-5_mips.ipk Copy the package files (*.ipk) to the WiFi Pineapple in /root/ using the scp command in Linux or an SCP utility in Windows like WinSCP or Plink. Only I don't have enough memory on ap121u to install all files, can I extend it with the same usb memory stick?
  24. Hi, Has anyone had an issue with the pineapple and large karma.log file causing the pineapple to become unresponsive? Also does anyone know how to write the karma.log to USB? (tried editing the startkarma.php and other places that use the /tmp/karma.log but being unsuccessful) Cheers
  25. Hi , i bought two sets of pineapples , one for me and the other for a friend. We got the elite package because we expected all the hardware would work well together. But we have both found that when using the Pineapple with the juice battery pack there isn't enough power to keep the SanDisk USB working. After looking around on the forums we have found many people complaining about this and recommending the Anker instead. If i had known there was a problem I would have just bought the basic unit and put the extra towards an Anker.
