  1. I just recently got my tetra. It works great on linux systems, but I have a macbook that I would like to use the tetra on doesn't connect with the default IP address and does not show up in ifconfig. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing a step?
  2. Hi there, I am fairly new to using the pineapple wifi Mark V and have been getting used to it over the past week but there is something I am having trouble with. I am trying to make my pineapple completely mobile, I have a portable battery with it, I can get it to connect wirelessly to my 3g network and can access the management console with my android that is also connected to the 3g network (I can also do the same with my laptop). The problem here is multi tasking is not possible when I have it set up this way, when I attempt to go into recon mode and scan for clients/APs, I lose the connection from my pineapple to the 3g network and thus losing my connection to the pineapples management window... I am assuming this is because there is a clash with recon mode trying to perform on the same interface as the one that is connected to the 3g network? I am also trying to find a way to log the information retrieved from devices mac addresses and what SSIDs they are probing for which can be found in the logs part of the PineAP module. Ideally I would like to have them sent to myself in an email, I have configured my email configuration in logs and reporting but it doesn't seem to work for me. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

  4. Hello, is there a way to convert AP121U with Pineapple firmware back to original Alfa firmware? Thanks.
  5. Hi, I'm considering buying a Mark V, however I wanted to get some idea of the setups people are using for distance. I assume the standard setup won't do more than 50 meters or so (obviously depending on open spaces, dense materials in the way, etc.) What kinds of aerials are you using, and what kinds of distances have you acheived? Thanks.
  6. (please notice that this is being conducted as a security evaluation in my own company, nothing in here can get me in legal trouble since I own the network and all the computers connected to it) Hi, I need to create a relay server for my pineapple to ssh to when I deploy it in position. The thing is, I need it to be completely untreaceable back to me, otherwise my IT guys would find it too easily. They know they're going to be tested, they agreed to it and to not knowing when this is going to happen. My question is, how would you guys go about: buying the hosting/remote server/vps so that it cannot be connected back to you? what kind of server would you use for a relay server? what security measures would you take so your anonimity is preserved? Thanks a lot!
  7. SSL stripping no longer works. I've been researching but gotten little results as to tutorials for other types of infusions. I want to get an infusion that can either get me wifi passwords or passwords to someone's accounts as they log into them. If possible, I would like some er infusions to start with downloading. I tried the wps infusion and it didn't work well with my router (which is why I want to use RubyReaver or Auto-Reaver). So, what other infusions could be used to monitor my other computer's web activities and the passwords that I get when I log in with my other computer (that I'm using as a target)? If possible, it would be nice if it was something I could use information I get from the PineAP log and input into such an infusion to get my passwords. I learned from this video about how to use the pineAP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdhuX4BEK6s&index=2&list=PLuXfzxj2yX_uCE8dPbP39rQIB0a8PkFHT So yeah, I don't want to buy too many new devices. I want to rely on my pineapple, but if possible I might want the documentation or something similar to learn to use such infusions. I might plug a wireless modem into my pineapple someday and go wardriving, but I want to learn to hack my own wifi first to learn before I go wardriving.
  8. I've spent quite some hours getting deeper into the Mark V but some points are just not clear for me. I was hoping somebody knows more about the issues because the are not well documentated and info is hard to find. Let me explain you my setup, I use the Pineapple for 2 purposes : 1) PineAP to spoof SSID and get clients 2) In my LAN as DHCP and GATEWAY so that I'm able to see what's going on. I turned off my router DHCP and now the DHCP from the Mark V sets hisself as gateway and DNS Server. The Pineapple uses on his turn the router which has the DHCP disabled as gateway for the internet connection. All is working ok, clients connected trough WIFI (method 1) and have internet I'm able to see the tcpdumps and urlsnarf the traffic. When I want to urlsnarf my own LAN nothing is getting displayed. All clients on the LAN have an ip distributed by the Mark V and use it as a gateway and dnsserver. The tcpdump and dnsspoof is working fine for the LAN clients, only the dsniff tool libary not (urlsnarf, dnsiff etc..) Does anyone has an idea ? Because everything seems to be setup properply and all is working except this part for the LAN clients. The tcpdump, dnsspoof etc is working ok for both methods. Also the urlsnarf says something like : urlsnarf: listening on eth0 [tcp port 80 or port 8080 or port 3128] However when I read the documents its says it binds globally to a network interface and not a port. When I try to telnet to one of these ports, its refused. I also tried all other interfaces, so thats also not the problem. Any help would be appriciated..
  9. FW-1.0.2 Sanity Check If you add a list of SSIDs to the PineAP Pool and then try to remove the 1st SSID from the list going down through the individual SSID remove feature it will remove the entire list and will not allow the list to be repopulated with the other SSIDs until you do a full Pool clear. How to reproduce: Manually add or allow PineAP to add more then 1 SSID to the PineAP Pool Select the first SSID in the list going down so that it is populated in the blow field for ADD/REMOVE Select to Remove the SSID and the entire list will be cleared You can re-ADD the selected SSID and remove it however the other SSIDs cannot be re-added until you select "Clear SSID Pool" from the SSID Pool Dropdown. Has anyone else run into this?
  10. Hi there, Im new with pineapple, i receive mine 3 days ago. I follow the instructions to first run and update without any problem. I install sslstrip 2.1 from pine bar (It is the main function , which led me to buy the pine) with no problem, connect my pine to my home wifi through client mode, and connect another computer to the access point created by pineapple. This ap work fine, with internet connection. When i start sslstrip, i think it starts as it should be, it appears the info about the log file as been created (or something like this), but when i go to the computer connected to the AP from pine, it opens https and http normally, and sslstrip log still empty and nothing happen. (not normal i think). I search the forum, and found posts about HSTS, that sslstrip not work with it, but the problem i have, does not seem related to it because it open all pages normally. How to solve this? While i search about sslstrip and sslstrip i found some posts about Delorean, but little information about it and how to use it. I installed it, and connect to ssh through PuTTY on windows (my first time with ssh),and try to run - delorean -h , but it appears that there is no delorean. How to start and use delorean? I need a solution to get post data from https, how to achieve this with pineapple those days? Delorean with sslstrip together do the job? If i need to post here some data from pineapple who needs to get from ssh, pls tell me what i need to write in ssh to get the necessary information. Thanks.
  11. Could someone please explain this? I don't get why the names of the networks will all show up but not the MAC addresses. And why can't I scroll through kismet individually as opposed to the whole linux command line.
  12. Hi All, I have a question regarding the pineapple but a bit of background would probably be helpful. On a daily basis my job is to hunt down and remove unauthorized WiFi devices people accidentally bring into a very large building. My management has decided they don't want any outside WiFi devices and have put money into technical solutions. I have an enterprise solution that can put me to within 20 meters of the target device. This system will provide me with the MAC address of the offending WiFi device. Once I am in the area, I have a WiFi sniffer that will give me a MAC address readout with it's associated RSSI. Before the pineapple I would wait for the device to broadcast every 30 seconds to 20 minutes depending the device's broadcast frequency. Tracking could take hours. The pineapple really changed the game. When the device connects to the pineapple the hunting time drops fantastically. In the best of scenarios the WiFi device pushes out a steady stream of RF breadcrumbs to the pineapple that allow me to track it down. Here's the problem. There are many devices I've come across that the pineapple cannot ensnare. At last check my pineapple is blasting about 400 different SSIDs to attract attention but the fish aren't biting. Anyway, here's my question. Is there anything I can do to get these devices (mostly phones) to just respond. I have the MAC address. I know I am within range. Is there anything I can do, pineapple or not, to just get these devices to just chirp. I'm not at all interested in connecting. I just need a steady, repeatable response to assist with tracking. I know this may be a bit of an odd application but any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help you can provide. Skinny
  13. Looking for a used Pineapple and Rubber Ducky combo but willing to purchase separately if the deal is good enough. DM me or post here with what you have for sale and total price shipped to FL.
  14. I try typing in the ip address with the port, like 172.16.42.1:1471 and clicking enter until the cows come home and it never shows up anymore... At least, almost never. It hasn't shown up in the browser or wifi in several hours. I can't ping the device, even with the ethernet chord connected. I am wondering if a USB-Male-A to USB-A-Male would solve the problem or if I need to fix it over wifi. Ethernet light is on on the pineapple itself.
  15. ***WARNING I HAVE HAD TOO MANY CUPS OF COFFEE TODAY IF THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TELL ME**** For a university project, I am attempting to harvest the various AP Beacon frames given off by devices. I set up my Pineapple last night so that when it boots up it starts PineAP, Harvester, and the secure Wi-Fi Ap. I tested it last night, and due to my router having something really wrong with it (Randomly the 5gh and 2.4gh radios will just stop transmitting, which requires me to reboot my router) I checked to make sure that ONLY my cell or my laptop is able to connect to it. Well this morning I am in class, logged into the pineapple and there were ten clients connected to it.... Insert expletives here. I shut it down, and started looking around on how to prevent other devices from connecting to it. In the past the configuration where all my pineapple does was look and not respond worked, now that's not the case. I can't figure out what changed between now and a month and a half ago. Anyone have an idea on what settings I should use to prevent devices from associating with the pineapple? Before you ask, why are doing this on a university campus? IF I can get the data I would like I will post it here.
  16. After reading countless threads about SSLSTRIP not working on systems such as Safari, Firefox, and Chrome I wanted to inquire about something that was released at Defcon Asia... SSLSTRIP 2 and DNS2PROXY https://github.com/LeonardoNve/sslstrip2 This is a new version of Moxie´s SSLstrip with the new feature to avoid HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) protection mechanism. This version changes HTTPS to HTTP as the original one plus the hostname at html code to avoid HSTS. Check my slides at BlackHat ASIA 2014 OFFENSIVE: EXPLOITING DNS SERVERS CHANGES for more information. For this to work you also need a DNS server that reverse the changes made by the proxy, you can find it athttps://github.com/LeonardoNve/dns2proxy. Demo video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGBjxfizy48 The DNS Proxy I am having a really hard time following the instructions, I've tried to contact the developer for clarification but no luck. Anyone else care to chime in on how to setup dns2proxy? - > Also is there anyone willing to take on the challenge on adding this as an infusion to the pineapple? My understanding is this would allow you to compromise all browsers such as Safari, Chrome, and Firefox? The demo video interestingly enough shows quite vividly proof of concept -- just trying to figure out how to do this? I'm running a few Kali Linux machines, can someone clarify how I'm supposed to setup the DNS proxy? To the ENTIRE Hak5 Team; Thankyou for working on a device that is truly amazing and endless with opportunity. We are only limited by our creativity when it comes to deployment with this awesome device. I took it upon myself to invest in all the bells and whistles that came with the Mark 5. Lets talk about build quality - FIRST CLASS! This thing is scary - To the untrained eye you wouldn't have ANY idea what it is... To the trained idea, the only term that comes to mind is pwned and operated. PineAP: ... so thats what Dogma does -- and thats why karma doesn't work as expected anymore :D -- Soooo many questions on this forum could be answered by watching this regarding Karma.. Chris Haralson https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK15ED34btB3NZznGIXQuwA This guys videos and guides are first class - aimed at people with my skill sets I really couldn't ask for anything to be clearer. I am anxiously awaiting your future guides and videos.. (*I check back everyday*). My office :D And a snazzy little pic of some pineapples....
  17. hak5Shop Re-Stocking: Pineapples, Rubber Ducky's, LAN Turtles? :-| I've had 3 items on my geek wish list to get around to buying from hak5, a new Pineapple in any kit, a couple Rubber Ducky dongles, and a couple turtles. Now my luck is ALL say out of stock on the Hak5 Store. Thank goodness the Yard Stick is in stock for now because that was another item along with a backup Alfa. I'm sure I could probably find a used one but I would really prefer buying it from the Hak5 store. Being stupid I thought these were Hak5 items planned on continuing to sell and when initially seeing them I saw no mention of these being limited edition items. I actually planned on buying the whole field kit since it seemed a easier way to get mostly everything I wanted. Any idea or word on when the Pineapple, Rubber Ducky, Turtle Devices will be back in stock in the hak5 shop? I am really hoping it's a when and not if :-( I was even considering on offering some penetration testing services locally and these items were like a must have. Thanks in advance to anyone that has heard anything at all, seriously thank you. :-| -Dox
  18. Hi guys, I was recently looking to get a cheap laptop to stay portable when having some fun with the pineapple, but then I thought; what if I wanted to do some bruteforcing on the go? Then I would have to use its GPU. But I doubt that a cheap laptop will get the job done fast enough on the graphics side. So I did some looking around and found a few external GPU adapters. As long as your laptop has a PCIe slot, you should be good to go. And although it goes through PCIe x2 interface, I think it shouldn’t even matter when using the card for number crunching …as long as you have enough juice to power the thing (car charger adapter for example or just a large battery). This way if you already have a good graphics card, you can take it with you to do something a little more serious than what you could with a laptop onboard GPU. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you because I thought that maybe this would be interesting for you guys to check out, discuss and have some fun with. Tell me what you think

  20. Hello. I've found that the following commands are equivalent on the pineapple, in that they both initialize karma. "pineapple karma start" and "hostapd_cli -p /var/run/hostapd-phy0 karma_enable" Hostapd_cli also has several other commands to configure karma, such as karma_black, karma_white, karma_mac_white, karma_add_ssid, and others, but not all of them work properly. For example, I was able to successfully switch the ssid and mac filter lists between deny mode and allow mode, but when I tried to use hostapd_cli to add SSIDs and MACs to the black/whitelist so that I could see them via the Karma tab in the PineAP tile, they did not appear. Running the equivalent command via pineapple, "pineapple karma add_ssid," and "pineapple karma add_mac," worked properly and both lists were populated. My question is why running the hostapd_cli command doesn't work when the pineapple command does, especially since if you run the following command: "strings /bin/pineapple," within the output, you can see the same hostapd_cli commands to add SSIDs and MACs. Is the pineapple executable doing something else that I cannot see from parsing the strings output before running the hostapd_cli commands? Does anyone know? Thanks.

  22. With cloud.wifipineapple.com down, is there another place where I can find the MK5 source code?
  23. I have this Anker battery pack, and want to make sure I can use it with my Pineapple before I plug it in. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N2T7U90 Thanks!
  24. Hello! Why Hak5 doesn't make shipments to Latin America? I really really want to buy Pineapple Mark V and US B Rubber ducky but I can't :( . I tried to buy it with PayPal and send it to an office in Miami, but I can not either, they don't accept the payment. Is there any other way to make the purchase? Thx! and sorry for my English-
  25. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any projects using the HDK, that they are willing to share? Failing that, do you own a HDK? What are you doing with it? Personally, I am working on motorized antennas for the HDK and looking to add it to the documentation on the wiki. Thanks,
