  1. Hello everyone, I've been playing around with a freshly acquired Wifi Pineapple Tetra. I upgraded, did a few factory resets and frimware reset too I there a two problems that need to be fixed. The first one apparead with the firmware upgrade from 2.4.something to the latest 2.6.2. : The live scan results don't print. We need to do a scan, stop it and load the scan file to output the results. I have seen this issue a few times on the forums but no admin/dev here made any answer or fix. WE NEED TO FIX THIS. This feature is important for the field pentesting. The second one is linked to wlan1mon. When I enable the PineAp, wlan1 goes into monitor mode and becomes wlan1mon. When PineAP gets disabled, the reverse operation is not done, making the red LED to keep blinking even though the PineAP is stopped. Any admin or dev here could take a look at this please ?
  2. I'm trying to decide between the Tetra Basic and Tactical. Is the difference simply the backpack/ shoulder bag? Also, what all is included in the box? Thanks.
  3. Tmux - Compiled for the WiFi Pineapples I'am posting this to the forums after a request from @kbeflo. He meant other people also would be interested in using this. Tmux is a "terminal multiplexer", allowing the user to switch between different programs in one terminal. I will not be providing extensive support for this. If you're curios about how it's working, try googling it. ? EDIT: 17.May-2018: Finally, working! [Download]
  4. Hi everyone, I bought a wifi pineapple about a couple of years ago. I've been searching for a battering thin enough to fit the case and be plugged using the U shaped usb connector. I know about the anker and pineapple juince models.. however, I can't find them online (shipping to belgium). Has anyone else found another battery that fits?? Thanks a lot!
  5. I have recently bought the pineapplw wifi tetra one, I'm trying to understand if somebody could list all the offensive use cases we can do with it ? thanks
  6. Hi everyone, just started out with my pineapple so bare with me. I have set my pineapple up on my laptop previous to this post and was working fine. But now i wanted to set it up on my Galaxy s8 and when i power on the pineapple and connect my phone, it gets stuck on "Waiting for connection". I have enabled tethering and yes my carrier supports tethering. Not really sure what my next move is.

    UK RETAIL

Hi, Would anyone at HAK5 consider working with a UK retailer?
  8. I have been assigned a task of combining 2 wifi signals into a tablet. One signal would come from a Iridium Go! satellite hotspot that puts out 2.4ghz wifi and the other a dynon adsb (which is like a radar acquisition unit for small planes). This would go to 1 program (ifly) . Would the wifi pineapple tetra do this? I'm sorry for the long winded explanation, but I needed to explain how it would work. I should mention they both work on 2.4 Ghz band. The sat hotspot would receive weather and the dynon unit would receive ads-b. I know the type of data isn't important, more fyi. Thanks for any help, Alaska Pilots.
  9. I just got my WIFI Pineapple (nano tactical) and would like to start testing it. I setup mine with a Mac, and everything seemed to work great while it was connected to the USB. However, when I disconnect it from the USB, install the battery pack, and the wifi dongle, I can connect to the Pineapple, but now there is no internet connection, but everything else seems to be working properly. Except I did notice that in the "Networking" tab, in the "WIFI Client Mode" it shows both the wlan1 and the wlan2. When I scan using wlan2, it says "No networks were found." Any help in this situation? Where to start? Did I miss a step?
  10. Hello everybody I'm new to this but I'm pretty familiar with how to have it up and running on Android. Mike recently bought a WiFi pineapple nano tactical kit I upgraded the firmware and did the setup via Android. I got the internet connection going pretty much everything is looking good however I'm having trouble understanding the wifi dongle that the tactical kit came with. I do know that you need it to set wlan2 how can I manage to do that on Android? If I connect the dongle to the nano how do I log in using my phone without going into the pineapple app that requires USB tether? What do I have to use another device rather than using the Android? Any tips would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance.

  14. I cannot reach the setup page for the wifi pineapple tetra( http://172.16.42.1:1471 ), I am currently using windows 10, however i have also tried using a Kali Virtual machine, I have tried every solution so far, Can anyone help?
  15. When i started my Pineapple a few days ago the red flashes and i dont know how to stop it. The evening before this Things like occupineapple worked well but since then it doesnt work. pls help and thx
  16. I can get the nano up an running, turn on pine ap with all the boxes checked, can get my iphone to hook up as a client and can change splash page etc etc.. but on multiple computers i have tried the nano and it, sometimes after 5 min, sometimes 10 or 15 but never longer than that, will just stop working. If i try to recon scan it just freezes at 100% and if i try navigating to the dashboard all the boxes are blank and basically it all becomes unresponsive until reboot. I have tried factory reset multiple times and uploading the latest firmware again and it still happens. Anyone else having this problem or did i receive a dud? basically is okay if i can get the info i need in a couple min, but if i want to scan continuously or set up any of the modules then its pretty useless
  17. So, I was playing with scapy with working on cloaking beacons and forging my own probe requests and responses when I noticed something from my Pixel that was updated to Pi 9.1 and other devices in the area. A bunch of devices were not probing for individual aps but instead doing wildcard probes. I can see this impeding attacks that spoof responses for open access points that are probed to induce a connection. Just an fyi. Take a look in wireshark while monitoring wifi to see for yourself. Filter by probe requests...or use scapy to find type 0 and subtype 4.
  18. I've been getting my Nano all set up and am finally happy with how things are configured. It's my first Pineapple and so far I'm happy :) One thing I've been having an issue with is adding an additional wifi card and getting it to work properly. I have both the Alfa ASWUS036H and TP-LINK TL-WN722N... The Alfa doesn't really detect properly as a wifi device but does show up in the lsusb command. I tried installing an opkg driver update for the realtek chipset and it seemed to install but not to help. As for the The TP-LINK... It shows up in both lsusb and as a wireless device within the "Wi-Fi Clients" section on the "Networking" page within Pineapple admin interface. However.. when I try to use wlan2 (the TPLINK) to connect to a local AP, it ends up using wlan1 even though I have instructed it to use wlan2. Any thoughts? I think one time I was able to establish a link from wlan2 -> to local wifi network via the wifi client ... but as soon as I would start PineAP things would go haywire and quit working. Ideally PineAP should work fine since it's only using wlan1... some kind of conflict ? My goal is to add a third wifi adapter so I can use it to connect to a local wifi network and bridge the internet access from that card over to any clients that connect. Thanks in advance!
  19. Darren / Seb, I have a couple questions regarding the cables and batteries that are included with theTetra and the Nano. 1) For the Nano, why did you decide to only include a USB power cable but not one that could be used to tether it (for setup)? It would be nice if the produce page in the Hak shop was a little more clear on this. Along with the Youtube setup video at .2) Why didn't you include an AC adapter to power the tetra? For $200 or $300, I feel like it should have come with one. To me, it's kind of like linksys sending a battery with their routers instead of a power cord. 3) Is there a way you can put together a small insert or pamphlet with batteries on future purchases? It would be nice to not have to search out information on forums about them. Some of the questions I had when I got mine were: Does the battery have to be charged when you receive it? or Does it come fully charged? How long should the battery be charged the first time? How long do subsequent charges take? Are they all the same length? Should the battery be drained completely before recharging? or is it safe to charge again when it's 50% drained? Approximately how many charging cycles should be expected from a battery of this type? Does the battery have to be turned on or off to charge? How do we know when the charging is complete? Will all the lights stay solid? What should we expect with the lights while charging? ie will each light flash and then stay solid to show that it's 25%, 50%, 75% complete etc.
  20. My Tetra works perfectly when connected on the 12v plug of the Tetra but does not work when powered by USB, whether on my Linux Laptop or from an external battery like the pineapple juice 15000 sold by hak5. For your information, I connect on the plug eth1 of the Tetra with the Y USB cable. Any idea? Thank you.

  22. Hey guys, I have no professional background in IT and am learning how to use a PineApple Nano as a job for a friend of mine who has but has no time himself to do it. The goal is to be able to use the PineApple for a demonstration to show an audience that you can Man-In-The-Middle between their mobile devices and an AP provided for the demonstration, that you can read their traffic and lure them on an Evil Portal. I have a hard time finding step-by-step tutorials for the recent build and for someone that is an amateur and really has to be lead to the simplest steps. What I managed to achieve so far: 1. I set up my WiFi PineApple Nano on a Windows 7 Professional computer and established an Internet Connection 2. I downloaded the latest update and bulletins and also currently three modules, SSLSplit, DWall and Evil Portal 3. I ran Recon Scans, saw local SSIDs and added them and their MAC adress to my Filter and PineAP Pool 4. I've been trying to follow the PineApple Primer video and ran the PineAP accordingly. With an open WiFi I created here, I could passively listen to unsecured traffic on a device I connected with that and show it in WireShark and DWall 5. What I am now trying to do is make my PineApple pretend its an open WiFi and grant access to the Internet. Currently devices can connect to such a pretender AP but then dont have access to the Internet. 6. I would also like to be able to listen to secured traffic. If you have any ressources I could read up upon or watch, I'd be grateful. Kind regards
  23. Hello, I am almost finished a new module for the pineapple aptly titled "Themes". The concept of the module is to let users create and share their own custom stylings for the 172.16.42.1:1471 page! Here are some example screencaps: My goal is to have the model come with a set of themes users can select from if they dont want to select their own. I need your help to design some baseline themes for the module, and give your theme a name as well. You can create a new theme by navigating to the 172.16.42.1:1471 page, selecting Ctrl+Shift+i and modifying the main.css file. Once you are done modifying the file, paste the code here or email me your css stylings @ trashbo4t@protonmail.com. I appreciate any help and can answer any questions below!
