Hello! A TrueCrypt volume wont become fragmented since the contents overwrite the TC file, & not out side the TC file, right? [assuming that TrueCrypt file is in 1 fragment] My guess. I have a 3.75GB TrueCrypt file in my thumb drive, leaving me with 26MB of free space left. It is just a little fragmented from copying it in. I tried a few free defrag programs & they all cant do it. Is there anything that can use what ever space is provided & do a defrag? [assuming I dont care how long it takes] thanks. PS: I read in a few places that defraging is tough against the HDD. Will it really kill my HDD? I am wondering if it is true since there are defraging programs that auto-defrags when your computer is idle.

In this case, I cant reduce it or remove any of them. I dont have fast upload, so it takes a while to upload the GIFs to my friend.

In ASP, is there a way to have the client's computer's browser hold on to images & text until the page finishes downloading? I was looking at the response.buffer, but that was not it. The whole page loaded & the client computer [my friend as the tester] was still downloading the pictures.

Hello, I have been playing Animal Crossing & pokemon diamond for a while now & got an R4 later on. I have both the ROMs too. theres a really big list of cheats I got here: cheats.gbatemp.net So I want to.. ....add some stuff to my real game... <.< >.> Does anyone know of a good device to import & export *.SAV to my real DS games? Well, I made it back & I failed to fix the boot loader thingy. Vista doesnt want to see XP & XP doesnt wanna see Vista. I learned something new that solved my problem though: - If I insert the my XP CD during boot it will boot the CD & if I dont "Press any key", it loads XP - If I take out the CD, it boots into Vista. Problem solved. Just gotta keep the CD out of danger. It already has a giant white scratch from when I missed the CD tray & lightly scrubbed the side of the tray... Damn you, ultra fragile CD! Is it legal to make a "Backup Copy"?

Hello, I have been on google & support.microsoft, but no luck. I hope someone else knows about this. I have a pre installed Vista. I have a huge list of problems since I upgraded. So, I decided to shove XP to the side of Vista when ever I want to use certain programs. Here is the setup: Picture: Preinstalled Vista with XP installed after. I have gone to "Startup & Recovery" -> Settings to change the boot order, but Vista does not see XP. I can not access XP.

Yes, on that screen, I want to change it to look like Windows OS Then Linux OSes If I dont touch anything after I turn on the computer, it will boot into windows instead of me manually. Thanks

Google kept saying I need it for the installation of the linux OS, but I want to know if I need it after the OS is installed. If not, I will merge it with the storage partition. ============ QUESTION 2: ------------ Would I be able to install 2 XPs on the multi boot menu? He might get a 64-bit OS if he can. Google talks alot about mixing OSes or installing programs, so I am not sure.... Thanks!

Eventually this "Copyright Protection" made to increase profit will fail & lose money. All problems to this crap has been stated many times in everyones post. I rather buy a game & DL a pirate. NOT going to let this crap screw up this computer. PS: I love Steam/Valve! Easy access to games, download it on as many computers I want [only 1 can br logged in], I have installed some games over 10 times already in the 3 years I had it, source code is happily given to the public & people have made their own cool mods like "Garrys Mod", which I like, & the games by Valve are fun! My friend is about to get a new computer [no OS yet] & wants to transfer his XP over, so he wants to make sure we install all the dual booting things & the 2 OS right. I was hoping for someone very experienced with dual booting & linux to help us. In question form: "What do we do 1st?" ============ EXTRA INFO: ------------ - We already DLed the i386 ver. of Ubuntu Studio. - Since we are using the old XP HDD as storage [formatting it], we can legally use the license on the new computer. - We have GParted if that is of any use. - There will be 2 HDD, an 80GB & a 1TB. If the Studio can read/write from NTFS partitions, we want XP & Ubuntu Studio on the 80GB HDD shareing the 1TB for easy video editing & storage - The CPU will be a quad-core 2.?GHz - My friend will pickup the computer from the store in a few hours after this post.

I LOVE high quality, so i never encoded videos before, even slightly, because it would make the videos blurry-like. Before I could not figure out how to encode in DivX / XviD because I would get error messages, so I tried MP4. It was easy for me to figure out & is now my favorite. Quality is better than other stuff I tried before. [no idea what they were anymore] BTW: Before when I edited vids, I would compress the huge AVIs with WinRAR. :D =============== digip: best to keep the same codec and bitrates, frames, etc, so the audio and video line up. =============== As long as you dont change the frame rate, your audio/video alignment will be fine. You can change the bitrate [video quality] for smaller file sizes if you want. If you have to change the frame rate because you want to save space, either record the original video [the very 1st one] at lower framerates, or if it is too late to do that, use a number that divides evenly like for a 30FPS vid, use 15FPS.
