  2. I just watched a great podcast on firmware from blackhat lol.. but you want to know about RD downfalls. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/ms05-041.mspx http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles/Win...l_Services.html http://www.oxid.it/downloads/rdp-gbu.pdf Remote desktop is exploitable however great care goes into keeping it safe. Using ssh and other things will greatly reduce you ability to be exploited. There were a few 3rd party tools at one point that were extremely vulnerable to buffer overflow and allowed an attacker the ability to take control a computer running said 3rd party tools. If it was me I would focus on: What is Remote Desktop i. When was the first Remote Desktop Client/Server Made a. Describe it ii. Where is it being used a. Corporations b. Homes c. Government iii. History of exploits. iv. Type of exploits a. MITM b. ARP? c. Buffer Overflow d. Social Engineering v. Conclusion a. What are some ways to secure it b. Your Opinions c. ???? d. Profit

  4. AdHoc distribution is one other way to get application on to the iTouch line of apple products, and even then you still have to use itune. You can "pwn" your iTouch and install apps using the installers. Other than that i do not have experience with these devices and what little experience i do have, playing with friends, I am not very comfortable with it. Maybe try setting up a server at home and putting your music there and downloading it over wifi, it may be slow but then you don't have to deal with shitty iTunes anymore. Get HFS file server and drag your music folder on it, do not use an external i.p. then connect to the localhost i.p. and maybe that will work. Link to hfs http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/
  5. Theory Its late and i dont want do do math, but i will be generous and say theres 1billion possible SSN, now subtract that from the ones you can no longer use, most of which are posted in last links, and now we are talking about a couple million possibilities knocked out. So how secure are SSN numbers? Computers can go threw that data extremely fast and calculate ALL possible SSNs available and yet to be available. I think its time we moved past a bar code and start using random number generators and salted hashs. Equation A=total number of possible combinations for 1st digits B=total number of possible combinations for 2nd digits C=total number of possible combinations for 3rd digits D=total number used for advertising and voided to public knowledge E=total posted by kin of a dead person A*B*C=X-(D=E)=XXX SSN Available XXX
  6. This is for informational purposes only. Do not try to commit any crime with this information. This is a valuable tool for genealogy, tracking down ancestors state of birth, crime investigation, tracking down state of birth, and showing your friends a neat trick. All information is in the public domain, see links at the end. SSN# Layout XXX-XX-XXXX * The first set of three digits is called the Area Number * The second set of two digits is called the Group Number * The final set of four digits is the Serial Number Uno The first three digits denote the area where the application for an original Social Security number was filed. 19. True, however you can place a backup battery inside the light housing and use what little energy to give them a "semi" charge; with the current cells on these lamps i doubt it will do anything. OR You can replace the cells with a larger or more powerful one. Im sure if you googled it something would show up. But i doubt that solar energy alone will power it on the scale of a solar lamp, but i am pretty sure that solar bags will do the trick.
  20. WOW! lol awesome idea. If i had a fon i would totally do that. very inconspicuous and great for suburban areas.
  21. I think it really depends on what you will be using it for. Out doors (i.e. parks, courtyards): 1. A solar powered bag! 2. Since magnets are less likely to interfere with the workings of a router you can attach it to something metal. 3. This isn't very practical but on an rc car would be funny. In Doors (i.e. coffee shops): 1. Power supplies to a laptop. Some power supplies I’ve seen are huge and could easily fit a gutted router. 2. Inside of a battery compartment, say a MacBook battery slot. Then power the router with a battery and your laptop with the power cord. 3. Inside roof tiles, like in the bathrooms. 4. Inside a portable HHD, like this one, seagate. Then power it threw usb, if possible, and wire the antenna internally. There are a lot of places to hide a router in public places. The problems that you are most likely to occur are, power, signal, and the amount of users you "snag".
  22. Oh i know that. I am not banned from IRC, just connot connect threw my network here in the dorms. I just wanted to be sure that this post did break the "forum" rules. Thank you though moonlit
