So today, September 30, 2008, i didn't feel like wearing closed toed shoes. I thought id just throw on my old $10usd pair of old plastic sandals and see how it goes.. I get to class.. Everything is ok... Take an exam and leave.. So i make it maybe a forth of the way back to my dorms, 100 yards, and BAM! them break... I tried to be suave about it, i take the gum out of my mouth and try to McGyver a make shift bond between the broken hoop and the sole.. Shit. it didnt work... so now I'm standing there, people are starting to stare and i hear snickering...are they talking about me? After about 5 mins of doing the invisible hula hoop dance i say fuck it and take off the other shoe and toss them.. I walked back to my dorms barefoot with my head held high admits a quad full of shoed individuals.

Can they go behind a router/switch or do they have to be behind the client.. i.e Client>>>TAP>>router>>>INTERNETS or Client>>>router>>>TAP>>INTERNETS Thank you and sorry, just cant find what im looking for

The way i learned some of my penetration skills was with DVM, damn vulnerable linux, it is really a big help and a great teaching tool.. not a distro i would boot into though

i have the same thing. I just received a free monitor and now i use it to watch iptv or hulu in my dorm. It running Mint and has no keyboard or mouse so i just VNC into it or ssh depending on what i want to do. I also store home work documents on there and when i leave for class i run my file server, that way if i forget to print something out i can go to the lab and download them instead of running back to my dorm.

I remember seeing a topic like this on the dd-wrt forms. the problem was having an external drive plugged into the router and telling the router to save it there.. the topic never got finished but that would be pretty neat to see.

No, i thought about it and im pretty sure that it was a lapse of judgment on my part. I use myspace. I had a facebook, but it just seemed to slow. People complain about horrible myspace layouts, but face book has the same problem, especially when someone has +20 of those little applications. Ive seen some apps that log user data, i wont mention which ones i know of. You can make the same argument about myspace as well i guess. Also how hard it is to cancel a facebook account really annoyed me, i changed all my personal information and waited a month to cancel it. But i can still go back and activate it any time.. thats not really canceling an account. I use myspace mostly if i need to get a hold of a friend, they are more likely to check that then their real email address. I guess if i could i wouldn't have myspace either, but for what it does i think its the best. If i had a personal blog i would most defiantly close my myspace.

OK... I must admit i am a little inebriated but i same this on hackaday.com. It seems pretty cool...but if i see this booted on an sd card i will prolly roflbbq and love whoever does this!

thats a +2 intelligence there.. no im joking around. DD-WRT and the alike are replacement firmware for routers. Most of them are open source and have TONS more features than the manufactures. If you read the instructions its pretty easy to get it done.. DONT RUSH IT.. after that im pretty sure that ddwrt can make a repeater out of you linksys router.
