  1. Fuck Obama, fuck McCain. Sorry for the vulgarity but I hate people who change their ideals at any moment in time in order to get more votes.
  2. Not sure if this is your kind of music, but here's one that I like:
  3. No real reason, I just like cutesy animes :D And I started using GML when I was 9 and I'm also 16 now. So yeah good to know there is someone else here with a similar past :3

  4. It's sad for the people who really enjoyed being on those shows and watching them, but personally I didn't like any of the shows they're cutting so it's not a huge deal to me ><'
  5. I personally like eBay, except for the stupid bots that go around and bid on stuff that just jacks up the prices.
  6. Airs are such a waste of money. Sorry, just had to say it.
  7. The Grudge... I hate that movie so much it's so scary T_T
  8. Although they were convicted on multiple accounts as they should have been, I still don't think their sentence was fair; as other people have said, murderers and rapists go to jail for ~20 years and get out, which is complete BS while people who were just screwing around on school computers get put in jail for nearly 40.
  9. Ever since v7 and it was bought out by that other company it hasn't been as good imo :3 It was a lot of fun back in the day to make silly little games with it ^_^
  10. Personally never used java, so I don't know it's capabilities with interfacing with libpcap or some other lib like that.

/agree Seattle is like the best city ever :3
  13. I know that at my school, we can run any exe we want (lol security fail) so I just ssh through my home connection and then from there I can visit any site I want. Also, our school does have WiFi with no protection on it, so it's easy to hop on that, ARP, and steal some Windows logon passwords of the admins.

    defacing is lame

If he was my boss, I'd be bent on making sure he didn't have that money that he owed people and more. I can name one defacer: iskorpitx. He's one of those Turkish people who thinks defacing is the l33test thing ever (and has defaced a ton of sites, and actually knows what he's doing and isn't and skid). However, he is the only one I know of.
  15. /agree (2600 is epic, I should finish reading it) I am doing this just to learn and have some fun, it's not like I'm going to hold their company hostage (that is if I even get it working.)
  16. I am so sorry to have violated your FPS morals. Believe it or not, sometimes people do stuff just because they can.
  17. You have a really good point there, I didn't even think about that, I just thought that if it wasn't ethernet it just wouldn't work and oh well. I'll borrow a friend's laptop sometime soon and see about any WiFi going on. Thanks again~
  18. The cat5 cable going from the gun to the pack was a pretty big clue, and that's what the original question was about, but then it kinda shifted to how the information gets to the scorekeeping computer.
  19. Guy was from near Seattle, he is epic win, still hasn't been caught :D Was never announced how much he got away with though.
  20. Thanks again for your suggestion, but I know the place I go to uses IR (at least for the tagging) and there are no recharge stations (they have had the same equipment for a long time, just here and there replacing a part or set if it breaks) so I'm still not exactly sure how it dumps the info to the score keeper, but if it RF as you mentioned, would there be any way to distinguish it from anything else?
  21. First off, you must know that my most portable device that I own is my PS3. So I was looking for a sub-$50 device or something I could make myself to do these two basic things. Second, I realize that they use IR to communicate who shot who, but it all has to get to one central computer that they use to print out a score-sheet for each user somehow, so that part can't be IR. Thanks again for any and all suggestions.
  22. Okay, so last night I went laser tagging with some friends because we were bored and hadn't done it in forever, and while we were listening to the guy announce the rules for the millionth time in my life, I noticed that the gun was connected to the pack by a standard cat5 cable. Then after the match started, I unplugged it for the hell of it and noticed that I could no longer be hit (either on the gun sensors or pack sensors) which meant that before the packets were sent out over whatever wireless protocol (I'm guessing WiFi b/g) to the other players & the server on the network the gun and pack somehow had to talk to eachother. I was thinking that if I made a small enough packet logger / filterer I could simply place it inbetween the gun and the pack, log all of the traffic, go home, analyze it, write a filter, and come back with godmode and screw with the other people for a round :3 My question is does anyone know of any commercial products like this, or have any designs so that I could make my own?
  23. I was hoping you wouln't be using Ubuntu, but I guess it's sort of expected.
