Ok I am playing around with Cain and Abel and Ethereal on my home network trying to learn all that can be done with these programs. I am able to see all the traffic coming through and see IM traffic read the messages and so forth with Ethereal. So then I turned on the webcam and I can see the extra traffic from that but is there any program that I can forward the traffic too to see the webcam video?

Right now I work for a large webhosting company. I do phone support for people that have fancy titles like "Directory of IT" for very large companies understand the complexities of FTP and POP. I am hoping to learn more PHP, java and other web languages as I would really like to get into the SEO side of things.

This is coming from a very small amount of experience in troubleshooting electricity, First thing you need to do is going any hardware store that carries electrical supples. You need to get a fault detector. The normally look like a large plug that has some LEDs on it that when you plug it into the wall outlet they will tell you if there is any problem with the circuit. It will tell you if everything is ok, if there is a cross or and bad ground. If all you circuits come test clean then you need to get a good meter that can measure both volts and hertz. These will cost you some cash but you will be able to test more effectively. What you need to do is plug them in to you wall and make sure that your readings and where they should be. 120 volts and around 60hrtz. These numbers should not go up and down at all if they do then you have a problem and need to call you power company.

If you have issues remembering long password that do not make sence here is a tip I would offer. Right now I look around the room for a random item the first thing that caught my eye was a lampshade. So I am going to make the word lampshade more secure. While I was typing this it was 7:27 so I am going to use the number 27 as well. I would then make the password something like this. L@m9^27^$haD3 It is 13 characters uses capital and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Opinions on how secure the password is and the method of creation are welcome.

I worked for an ISP that offered an filter system and did some side work for schools that used them. Some of our customers did report some school students finding a way around it. What the students did was goto http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and do a website translation for http://whatpagetheywanted.com they set it up to translate from German to English thus not performing any translation. Most filtering software does not have these translation sites blocked be default. Once the school admins found out they called us and we set that up to be blocked. It will get you access until you get caught doing it. As it has be stated before just wait to you get home to surf because you will get caught someone will see you on a site that you should not be you will end up telling the the work around so they do not report you. Soon a dozen or so students will be on myspace.com and the staff will be aware. They will want to know how the students that they know are not smart enough to figure a work around like that out and they will pressure them into telling them who told them how to do it. It will get back to you and they will use your punishment as an example to the rest of the school.

Thats not such a good idea... it would probably work... but it would cause a high level of suspision... and what if the guy knows that flash memory remeber things even when it doesn't have power? I understand you point and agree with you there will be some suspision. That is why I suggested throwing the breaker. Having a breaker trip usually means there was some type of power fault that went though that area of the house. This may leave him to feel that the loss of the config was due to the same thing that caused the breaker to trip not necessarily the power loss.
