  1. I guess that all depends on your own definition of "good". to me a good game is one that I enjoy playing, either by myself or with friends. I enjoyed the CSS game and If I had the money for TF2 I would have joined that lan party as well.

from the sound of your post I get the impression that you don' t like either of those games. if that is the case mabey you should make a suggestion for a future lan party.

The guys (and gals) at hak5 do an excellent job but they can't please everyone all of the time.

It was actually to do with the comment about the game being open source.

  2. i liked it.

and i cannot express my happiness over the lan party FINALLY using an open source game. it may not be wolfET but its still a step in the right direction lol

A step in the right direction would be playing good games whether they be open source or not.

  3. for those of you that play you know i am at the top of the LoRD playerlist and got there quick.

all you have to do is follow the link and you get a lot of secrets. like

why i get so many forest and player fights

why gold is nothing to me

where all my extra xp comes from

and how you may or may not have played into my trap.

    edit

free webhost is about 60% reliable. so it might be down. give it half an hour and it will be right back up usually.

I lol'd as this post is like WoW spam, "IM GOOD AT THIS GAME, HERES HOW I DID IT". I found it funny.

  4. could someone point me in the direction of an open source java irc client? any java irc client that i can view the complete source. doesnt matter the license. i just need an idea of what it takes to make an irc client in java.

    connect to IRC

create separate thread for handling the sending of data

    receive data

    parse IRC protocol

    rinse and repeat

It's pretty simple and generic. You just have to understand the IRC protocol.

  5. I believe he said the IPOD not IPHONE... IPhones have wifi, but can they run linux? If so I think someone would eventually develop a driver that works with the iphone's wifi card, then in theory you could use the aircrack tools ;)

But IPOD's don't have wifi do they? so no not a chance unless you can somehow rig a wifi device into it ;)

    iPod Touches have wifi.

  6. Well why don't you use the original Linux or XP Home that was originally intended to run on the eeePC.......IT WORKS!!!!!

I Think maybe why you have xp on is it's better suited to your needs? am I correct?

I don't want the bloatedness of Itunes, its not suited to my needs, as i would want something as basic and fast as foobar!!!! I don't want all this backing up your ipod, getting genius data(yes i know that can be turend off), or working out gappless play back and when ITUNEs uses 77,120K MEM usage well i want something a bit smaller on the load!

Next time you think your posting something that's Helpful think........As that to me is just a mindless excuse to get you post up

unless you was trying to be helpful  then

    errr..... thanks <_<

Honestly, do you really think I'm bothered about my post count on the Hak.5 forums? 77MB of memory is nothing, do you have like 128MB of RAM in your computer? Do what I do, I only use iTunes when I put music on my ipod touch, every other time I use Winamp to play music. I use iTunes because it's supported, using some other third party app may fuck up my ipod. Don't accuse me of spamming just to get my post count up.

  7. I see a lot of people using Notepad++ on Windows. Unfortunately I'd need to install a lot of plugins before I'd get PSPad's functionality (Function list, encoding conversion, hex editor, compare files, FTP synchronise, HTML tag matching, etc...).

I'm surprised to see no UltraEdit fanatics here :)

Half of that functionality is already build into Notepad++, have you ever used it?
