  1. I was visiting a friends mom at the photo lab of Walmart and while he was talking to her I was looking at the back of the Kodak booth and I noticed that it was running XP Embedded and the whole rear of the tower were visible as well as the USB ports. I was tempted to pop one of my flash drives into it but I wasn't sure if I had one with a worthy payload with me. The whole day I was thinking about what type of security risk that is and what would be the best payload to use to check out the booth. I had Switchblade on my Cruzer and a plain old file copy batch on my Emprex.
  2. With a U3 flash drive you just put the autorun.inf on the CD partition of the flash drive. This will autorun the start.bat in the flash partition similar to how a CD automatically starts an installation program. This will then open command prompt which will copy the files to the flash partition of the drive. I'm sorry if that is hard to understand. I'm not very good at explaining things and I myself am very new to this.
  3. Ok I've been trying to use XCopy to copy files onto my flash drive but it doesn't transfer the files either at all or just the txt files. I don't get why this is happening. The first time I tried it only the txt files transferred but the second time I tried it only the folders (empty) transferred. I would greatly appreciate any help. 4. It's S.O.P when painting just about anything if you don't want to risk it looking crappy. My main reason for wanting to paint it is where the slide is a light lights up when the flash drive is plugged in and it even blinks. It made me think WTF is going on I wanted this to be discrete but that's like saying "Hey look at me I'm flashing." I thought about just covering it with electrical tape when I use it but I'm not always gonna have a roll in my pocket.
  5. I was wondering if it's possible to disassemble a Cruzer Micro to paint it and then reassemble it. I know it sounds stupid but I think it would be nice to have it flat black to reduce glare and attention to the drive.
  6. I just picked mine up from Fry's Electronics for $21. 75 after tax.
