We have also just found out that we are not able to access the Documents and Settings -> All Users - > Start Menu -> All Programs -> Startup <- so currently we are not able to do anything on startup.

We aren't really going to be profile jumping. We are going to put the program on each computer, but the program would need to work for anyone who logs into that computer (which is upwards of 2000 possible). Also, what about the all users startup folder?

What do you mean by roaming profiles?

Lets rectify my first post, how about anything running on user login (no specific user).

Alright, well we gave up mostly on the Networked Drive portion of everything. Currently we have one question so far. Is there by any means a way to start a service on a networked computer (net login) without Admin Privileges, AT ALL. We do NOT have Admin Privs and we can not get them, so we have to figure out a way to do this without them. If anyone has any ideas with this, that would be awesome too. If you need more information on this just ask, but basically to get it clearer. Starting a service on a computer, a networked computer, without admin privs at all. Thanks a lot.

    Network Drive

So far I am pretty sure it's running a Domain, and the OS is Windows XP. As an example of what I mean, today in one period we had found 4 copies of halo on the networked drive, and it just keeps on returning and returning. In general, all we want to do is run something without being logged on, like a USB autoplay, so that it runs this program that deletes EVERYTHING Halo related(the .dlls, .exe's, etc).

    Network Drive

Well we're unfortunately students trying to do this, and because of these kids the IT guys think since we are in the computer room a lot and know what the heck we do usually, they think it's us just using someone else's account(considering it is pretty easy to get someone else's account). They don't care if, if you know about the properties -> advanced -> security -> and owner thing, it shows as someone else, "we don't need proof to say that it is you" is what we were told. I don't really want to get permissions to do this, don't want to do that cause I don't want to get in trouble for that, but I do know they have a program called Fortress that blocks things and etc. Though what the school doesn't realize is that the kids are taking the files from say a flash drive or something like that and copying/installing it onto the networked drive. It's not fun... To the filename thing, we were honestly thinking of doing that, just making a program in our java class that just goes through and deletes it, but as said before we don't want to have to run it manually. We want to have it as say a service and just delete the games.

    Network Drive

What I mean is a lot of the kids keep putting halo on the computer, and we want to be able to access the networked drive while not logged into the computers so we don't have to keep running a program or some kind of service all the time to get rid of the program. We're getting fed up with having to delete the game constantly. We have accounts that we are able to log into, its just as stated above, we don't want to have to keep on deleting it ourselves. It gets kind of annoying when kids constantly put things on the computers and get us in trouble. : /

    Network Drive

What I was wondering is if there is a way to access a networked drive while logged off. We do have accounts, but we want to be able to run a program that will get rid of a game on a school networked drive but as said above, without being logged in. If this is possible that will be awesome, if not oh well. Thanks for the help.
  10. Well my school uses a program to try and block all of our actions called Fortress. Website: http://www.anfibia-soft.com/products/sfortress/index.htm Can someone help me with understanding this... Me and my friend have figured out that if you bring in a copy of Firefox on and USB or CD(I'm not 100% sure if it works with other version), original version 2.0, use notepad, Right-Click and click Run As.., and run it that way it actually makes a "choke in the network" and stops Fortress from working. I still have no clue why it does it considering I have tried 1 other version of Firefox and it doesn't work, plus I have compared it to the exact same thing after downloading it and they are the same. One thing I did notice though is that if you re-name the Firefox.exe to ieexplorer.exe or iexplorer.exe(I forget which) it only works this way, if you rename it back to Firefox, Firefox works again except for actually being able to use it as a browser(meaning it just brings up the browser trying to load a page 24/7).

    Account

Well I am not sure if anyone will truly be willing to help me with this problem but it is worth a shot to ask. At school 2 of my friends forgot their passwords to their accounts, they tried getting a teacher to ask the IT guy to reset it for them, no good. He wont because the IT guy is a douche(sorry but he really is). Is there any way I am able to get the password for them or is it only something the IT guy can do once he stops being rude? I thought of using that USB Switchblade hack but I had figured that I highly doubt it will grab a network account password or anything of the sort. Thanks a lot for anyones help and I do understand if no one wants to do this.
