What happened to the list of USB apps in the show notes for ep 1x09 that Rob was talking about? Does anyone have the list?

I installed FreeNAS on my old PC, but when I try to access the NAS using either the "run" command on a PC, or an FTP client on my Mac, it always says I do not have permission to do anything, as if it is read-only (but there is nothing on the drive to read). It never works when I try to ping my Macbook and says 100% packet loss. Also, when I look at my webGUI, under Disks>Mount Point, it says "Error - Retry". I feel like reformatting my drive in UFS would help this, but the webGUI will not allow me to format my drive, since I have the OS running on the same drive as the data is being stored. I cannot boot from a USB drive, so this will not work either. Any ideas? Thank you!

Hey guys, I just found out about Hak.5 and love it. I know my way around a computer pretty well by most standards, but here, I'm definitely near the bottom of the food chain. Computer security, programming, etc., are all things that I've been trying to teach myself more about since I feel like thats definitely what I'm lacking most in. If anyone can help point me in the right direction at some points, I'd be extremely grateful. I know a some basics, but I feel like I need to go back and just relearn a lot of stuff to get off on the right foot. I'm also getting into Linux with Ubuntu. I just watched an old episode (i think it was 2x2) where the guys were talking about setting up FreeNAS. I want to do this with one of my old junkers and was just wondering how my pc running FreeNAS will be able to connect when I have an encrypted network. Do I have to input my passkey during the setup?
