Hehe I did click the "Noob's guide" post. But I meant that rather than tidying up an old thread you could have created a simple one post locked sticky and left the noobs guide for discussion. nm. It's not a big deal ;)

Cool. But wouldn't it be more useful to create a locked sticky which just contains the latest download? ^ Just an idea :) Anyway fingers crossed it's not to tricky to get the app working again.

And pandora.jar ID3 tags the mp3 files too doesn't it? I've never bothered to manually rename a plugtmp- file to see if the ID3 tags are intact. Anyway has anyone got an up-to-date version which send the correct timestamp to last.fm yet? I'm still using 7.3.1 ...

And again :) I really want the correct date/time to be stamped when I scrobble to last.fm.

I have no idea about recompiling. Eagerly looking forward to an expert coming along with a 7.4.* version to fix the "wrong time for last.fm scrobbling" issue ... ;)

this issue was resolved a while back in the 7.4.1 realease. The add track logic was not using the UTC timezone when posting a track to last.fm. The code call now respects the expected timecode. cheers I've looked back at the previous pages and it seems that all the posts which linked to version 7.4.1 have been editted to remove the link. Anyone have any idea where I can get 7.4.1? That's the version I was using until my PC crapped out on me and I had to reinstall. It's typical that I didn't have a backup :(

Whenever my last.fm data is uploaded from the pandora.jar app it's sent with the wrong date and time. In effect, the music I'm listening to NOW is being recorded as though I'm (will be) listening to it an hour in the future. It's acting as though the pandora.jar app thinks I'm in a different timezone! I've checked my system clock / calendar = it's correct. Anybody have any ideas why this is happening? :?

Same a Zoltan PandoraJar works fine for me. There have been problems in the past (when Pandora change things there end) but each new version has resolved them I use the same settings as Zoltan except the last.fm Data setting is enabled for me. I experience the same issues with tracks not saving correctly when switching stations (and sometimes when skipping tracks) but refreshing the page remedies that.

The settings are saved as a cookie.

Last.fm has had a major overhaul and are now counting played tracks in real-time. I can see my track counter updating if I play music in WMP and when using the last.fm player but not when using this pandora app. The tracks are submitted as recently played tracks when using this pandora app but the last.fm tracks played counter doesn't update. I'm afraid I don't know how to sniff packets - perhaps someone more knowledgable can confirm my finding? Has anybody had a chance to look into the last.fm track counter issue? Is it just me or does it happen to anyone else too?

Hmmm strange problem... Everything is working fine except that, whilst using this app, the tracks I submit to last.fm aren't being added to my played tracks counter. Now that the track counter is updated in real time it's easy to test this out. Can anybody confirm this?

The correct syntax is indeed SET TEMP="<path to temp dir>". As a test, open a DOS box, run the command and then run dir %TEMP%. If you get a listing from your TEMP folder, things should be okay. This newer version won't fix your particular problem, but you'll probably want it anyways. Thanks! All working again now! I'll say it again - thanks for keeping this app alive. Well the files are definately in my TEMP directory so the app is failing to find them... Do I need to add a SET TEMP="drivepathdirectory" so that my TEMP folder can be found? If so can somebody please post the exact syntax here (XP's default temp directory) as I have tried to do that by adding a line in the batch file and so far I've failed :oops: Unless the latest version fixes this issue for me... I'll test it when I get home later.

This worked for me as well. Whoops! Spoke too soon. I'm a dumbass... :oops: Mp3's are being ripped, saved as plugin-tmp-${foo} but they are not being renamed or tagged... This is somewhat an improvement, but not the ideal. I thought I read that someone had the same issue... I'm having the same problem and because the app falls over when it's attempting an mp3 rip my track data isn't being submitted to last.fm either. That makes no difference. I'm still getting unable to locate artist and song information.

Just though I'd let you know, other than that this program is kicking major ass. I've seen this reported before and the stock reply has always been - "your PC's calendar need to be set correctly" Sounds too obvious though... :?
