I just got my Wii yesterday and I am having a blast with WiiSports and the one Wiimote. Tomorrow I am heading to a couple stores to see if I can actually find another Wiimote on this dam island (Probably not, i am guessing). Not sure what game I am going to buy but thanks for the tips on what's good and whats not.

I work for a Medical insurance company and the one thing that sticks out most is that not enough people know data bases!! We use a lot of MS SQL for the heavy duty stuff and MS Access (possible the worst program on the planet in my book) for the lighter stuff to filter through lots and lots of data. Out of 60+ people on my floor there are 2 people that really know what they are doing with data bases and the rest of us are pawns in a chess game!! LOL The power of a little data base knowledge is amazing and can get you some good money!! Also believe it or not doing web pages is a pretty good thing to learn too. I have no formal training at all and i got a couple side jobs running a couple online stores. Through these jobs I have a couple more in the works just through referrals. My advice is to figure out what you like doing in the IT world and start messing with whatever you decide on. I myself like HTML, Photoshop, PHP, Javascript, OScommerce, Wordpress, and Drupal. I have never taken a class in any of these and can use them pretty well. Also if you have friends that are good at something get them to show you a little here and there. Its always good to have a different perspective. Good Luck

I agree its an excellent podcast!! Especially the one he explained the Linux file system!! Basically its a linux for dummies podcast where everything is explained in detail. Much needed!

I had a professor in Uni that had a unique sleep schedule: He Slept 4 hours at night and took two 15 minute naps at the exact same time (I dont remember the exact times of his naps). every day. For me i need at least 7 hours a night, and i usually get them. When i cant sleep i dont try to force it just keep working on what you are working on until your body gets tired. If that doesnt work than it might be time to have see a doctor!! PS. A booty call or a good wack might help too!! (^_^)

Here is how you sleep: -Get a Girl Friend -Do some exercise in the afternoon -stop being a fan boy -no caffine/cigarettes/drugs -Clear your mind before you lay down -Yoga/meditation -watch the shopping channel or regular TV -Try to read a computer language book without sitting infront of your system (I promise you will be asleep, especially if its .Net)

Yeah it has been getting alot of buzz recently. I figured it should be easy enough for a lazy guy like me to learn...

So i have been messing with Ruby on Rails the last day or so and i am liking what i am seeing. Anyone else have experience with it? I have only done the first tutorial on this site http://www.rubyonrails.org/ . Its a simple Recipe book, but considering its the first programming i have done ever i am pretty stoked. LOL Watch out all you Web 2.0 Biiiiaaaaattttcchhhheesss. LOL :shock:
