  1. Well a little update. i borrowed a wireless transmitter from a friend. Which didn't work out that well. Something interferes a lot, but we had a leakage which meant the wardrobe and other things had to come from the wall. So after that i budded in and did my cablework. So now the only thing is to scrounge some wireless pointer so i can use it from the lazy sofa.
  2. That's how i normally do it when i've a little screening with more then two people (not much room for more then two to sit comfortably). I used to run 1one 15 m tulip to tulip video cable and two audio cables downstairs. But that's not really handy and pretty. The apple tv is for widescreen only according to episode 2x10 :) I think my best option is to find a way to secure a wireless apparatus that sparda linked though i havn't been able to find one that has one build-in.
  3. I did look into that. But the problem with that setup is that i use Cable instead of adsl. Meaning there are several splitters between my pc and the tv A improvised schematic of the situation as it is now.
  4. It seems they will do the trick with composite--wireless--wireless-scart. Though the wireless without protection is a no-brainer since it is connected to my main pc. But it gives me a name to look for so thanks :)
  5. I've been looking for a way to transmit media to my tv. Mostly fansubs and programmes like Hak5. So a standard mediacenter/network would give a lot of problems with codecs and other things like mkv or ogg files. I'm looking for a way to essentially use the tv as a 2nd monitor, but then wireless. I've seen some dvi wireless dongles, but i've no experience with them or know anyone who does. Also i'm currently not running a 24/7 server and no wired network downstairs. So i still have a lot of options, but they all are not really favourable or take more time then they give comfort. Convert all programmes to standard avi or anything a normal mediacenter can play (lot of time and effort Make a wired network to a downstairs pc Make a wireless network to a downstairs pc Buy a new tv with a network acces point Or an option to do a wireless 2nd monitor that i havn't found. So mostly this is a question if someone knows that kind of solution or a complete new option i'm not aware off. The pc with the media hd2900xt with tv out and 2*dvi Windows vista home premium Wired network through a router The tv Scart, composite and tulip connection no console that could function for the programme trevirsty or similar
