Thanks for the fast response :) I've got /home mounted with NFS at the moment, my problem is the login config files and so on. When a machine goes to login, it tries to login locally, correct? I need to setup each machine to try to login to the server, rather than locally.

In linux, how would I go about setting up a multi user network. By that I mean user's files stored on a central server, including all login details etc, so if the server was offline, loggin in wouldn't be possible.
