Can you guide me what this is and how this works? and why cant i just plug in another lan card and connect to my other pc?

I have a cable connection for this pc. Basically its a cable connection and the cable modem is connected via a lan cable to my LAN Card. Now i want to share this internet connection with another pc at my place. So how can i achieve this? Shud i try installing another lan card on this pc and connect it to the other pc? In this case what shud be the settings i would be needing to do? chao!

how about if I connect my cable modem to my LAN switch using a normal lan cable. then from the switch I connected my two computers. Can this work ?? in this case what settings should I configure?

I tried this setup... i setup both my LAN and cable modem. LAN became Local area connection, and cable modem got the connection local area connection 2 connected at 10 mbps. LAN is working as normal. Internet explorer is set on automatically detect settings but it is not working until and unless I disable my local area connection (LAN conn.). I just want that it shud work automatically! i dont think getting a router is a good solution [:s]

A NAT Router??? isnt there any simpler way? all i want is to make my home lan and the cable internet to work together. I use my home lan just for gaming wid my bro and cable for the internet. So its like i jus wanna stay connected to msn and keep on downloading my stuff while im playing on my LAN...

I have a cable modem connection at my home. Before i got this connection i had made up a LAN setup connecting all 3 computers of my home making a network. The cable connection i got came with a cable modem which is connected to my computer with a USB. It also has a option to connect to my LAN card but i used the usb port. Now the problem is that i cant run both my networks together. I want that home network to work along with this cable connection. If both connections are enabled, the home LAN is working and file sharing is possible, but the cable doesnt gimme the internet then. I dunno any settings for internet explorer, it works on automatically detect settings. To use the internet i have to disable my home lan. can any one please tell me what to do so that i can run both connections at the same time?

Does anyone know how to decrypt a file if it is encrypted using RC4 and I am having its Key!! How to do it ?

We'll this basically is my own word document file. It is the project documentation of a VB project i gave when i was doin GCSE Os... Now at my college im again doing a project in VB, similar topic. So I thought I would be reusing my old stuff. Now I dun remember this password which I kept 3 years ago! Thats the only reason i was tryin to do this! whats so wierd about writing a post for the first time? Can ne1 help me out!?

I've been cracking passwords of Word documents for quite some time. . . but i've come through a file now which is becoming hectic to crack!!! I used softwares like Accent Office PR etc. Can anyone help me out!? Tell me some other softwares which can crack real fast. Its a office 2000 Word document. Or can anyone please crack its password me!!? Please!!!! :sad:
