thanks man that worked great just like the jollysfastvnc but it cut out as well after so many seconds. i do have a question will i be able to exchange files and stuff using these or do i have to use logmein and pay to do that. i think it has something to do with my computer. for some reason the connection is horrible. wen i network to it i cant watch a movie from it on my mac but my other computer i can. so it must be the computer. or just vista. i might go to sever 03 or sever 08 not sure what one to go to. because i don't use that computer any more i use my mac.

Okay i got the Mac on the win network for the most part now i want to view my win on my mac when i go some were. i used chicken of the vnc,remote desktop connection,vine,jollysfastvnc,logmein, i got jollysfastvnc and logmein to work. but jollysfastvnc dissconects after 20 seconds, and logmein cost to do file and printer transfering. i cant get chicken of the vnc to work and i herd it was good. vine i can get the server to work but not the viewer cost money. and remote desktop connection is made by microsoft to work with microsoft but i cant get it to work. so i can view my mac on my windows with no prob but i need to view my win o my mac with no prob. does any one know of a good program and how to set this up. or tell me how to set up with one of the programs above. i need it to stay connected and transfer data. on my win i have ultra vnc ,real vnc, tightvnc, plus the one built in win remote desktop. i can get the viewers to work not the server( i think or the servers could be working it could be my mac software.). the setting are all set in the networking pref on both mac and win. thanks man they were help full. i think the second link talking about PIC18F4550 said it did not support Host functions or usb on the go. now wouldn't that pose a prob or does it not matter. I was wondering what i would have to do to the HDD MBR. So i might have to change some of the values to comply with the task it is needed for. The second PFD post "USB Mass Storage Device Using a PIC® MCU" had a lot of good information i have to read it a few times to get it all in but this should help me understand what i am shooting for. The demo board are sweet i need to get more money to buy one but they look like they are worth it. thanks man this a little easier to chew up i am on digkey looking through the online catalog and at the microchip products. i am downloading the IDE software right now as i type as well. Ya i ask around before i answered with out a certain answer but the usb on the psp work as fast as the memory card can so if the memory card can only transfer at 5mbps but the fastest that is known or used is 12mbps. i think it would be safe to say i would be looking at a pic that is usb transfer speed of 12mbps. But some dude used a ipod the runs at the full speed as a hdd for the psp so maybe the psp can handle faster. but for now i will go with 12 but if doesn't work i will go higher. I have one question now i am not sure what the usbhostfs is programed in but if C can i translate the C to assembly i will have to look more closely at the usbhostfs and see if i can figure out how to look at is commands and all. can i add drivers to the pic as well?or do i need a MCU?

Now if the PSP was good for only 12mbps then what chip would you per fer to use that would be more reliable to get the PSP to access and recognize a HDD. so all i need to make a usb OTG to change the PSP from a slave to host right or am i miss under standing this whole thing. As well as give a command to tell the psp were to look on the HDD. Because it is a slave by hardware. now do you think i should have a command to tell the HDD what to do or would it be okay to just run and allow the psp to access it. And what language should i learn to program a PIC? all this programing stuff is new to me.

The PSP is a slave and needs a program like usbhostfs to be running off the HDD to read the HDD. in order to do this you have to use a computer. With the Vdip1 if usbhostfs or program simular to it is written into it's programing it would be able to allow for the psp to recognise the HDD.Without a computer. the other thought would be using a mini cpu thinking it would be easier to program and using the vdip1. Ya it is bad to hack school computers. but hey its fun. i had a friend the pigybacked his house computer with the schools to download torrents got away with it for a year and a half. another friend found a loop hole in the security to gain full access to the internet using aol free ride( hint try it at your school) never caught we had a hug halo lan party at are school every day and were caught by the end of the school year because a looser squeiled we had teacher playing it too.. he never spoke again. had all the computers moo for a senoir prank. um a network storm some one did that took a long time for the person to fix that.. man we had lots of aisain that where doing all sorts of things with the school computers it was funnie. but when any one got caught it was a day supension that was it. but again hacking school computers is bad dont do it. it can be done but dont prove it it is not worth it.

Ya thier are better way to installing it but hey it worked i might be adding the 10.5 instaer on here soon it is a little harder but i guess it is worth it i dont know the file takes at least four day or so to get it and finding the patch is very hard a rare to get.

ya i have a 42 inch hooked up to my computer it makes it a lot better seeing things.

Pigs would be easier since are school is surrounded by farms. Hippos would be better but why not cows they cant go down stairs and are school is two stories with elevators. We have chicken farms all around us we could get chickens.

Man i might just switch the network cables around i have full rein of that area there stupid they keep the door wide open. And i might add a linksys on there some where i have an extra one the i do not use any more. this is sounding good now i have this week only and it is a prefect chance. I will use one of those stupid guys at school to switch the network cables and add the linksys in there. It is always nice to have a pawn in your pocket. We have also prepared a prank on are principal we have a cinder block wall we made that we can slid off a back of a truck to block in the principles car and we bought some quick set to pore down the center of the blocks to secure it . there will be no way for him get out.

Some one has already done that at the beginning of the year. the captured the back ground and inserted a warning pop up on it. teacher was freaking out.
