    Why geeks Don't get girlfriends.

    I really don't understand this theory that geeks can't get girls..... I'm a geek, I'm a big one. I sit there and talk to girls about computers and shit but I do switch topics. I also think I'm very good at being social. I used to be anti-social but from it I learned many athings. I'm 15 don't look that good and I still get girls so all I have to say is if you don't have confidence you will never get a girl friend. They are also not stupid (well some are but some guys are the same way) Alot of them just don't show their intellegence in public.

    Well I was switching cases (new case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811208009 ) today when I was done I took a beak for a minute came back and hit the on button and nothing happend than I looked though the case to make sure evertyhing was secure and properly put in. It was. I then checked the power strip to make sure it worked it did. I checked the power cord and power Supply to see if it worked it did. Now I have put it to the mother board, I don't really want to have to buy a new one but worst comes to worst I do.. So what do you think? And if I do buy a new mobo I will want to switch up my cooling, cooling is something I really dont understand I'm gonna go research it and if anyone has insight on what kind of system i should use to cool it any insight is great. :lol:

    I'm 14, it's xmas eve .. and I'm sitting posting on a computer forum while download program setups/ printing of parts of a mobo manual for tomorrows build

    Ok well I have a new project that I came up with. The project isn't really anything special but I just need a pointer in the right direction. Let me explain the project, if it doesn't make sense its cause I just came down from a trip.

    Project: 'Knowledge'

    I want to learn how the internet works, and the many languages (not learn them all hahaha). So I really need some books, topics and ideas to go research on. I also want to learn how the whole web page works by this I mean the server which holds the website info to how the website gets its name.

    I don't need to learn how to do graphics I have friends that can do that.

    So what I'm really asking is, what is some good reading material on HTML, JAVA and How the servers work.

    Note I have been researching on the internet(Wikipedia Howstuffworks) all of which has given me valuable info but I need more. Thank you :lol:

    EDIT: I do have money, lots of money, so post anything that i can buy to help me learn.

    Doesn't that mean you could warez solid objects?

    It'll truely become useful when you can print food... which... I guess is almost possible, you'd just need the food in the machine in the first place for it to assemble it.

    Or you could just use an edible material or something to mimic food while having ink cartridges with flavoring and such. I guess you could use tofu and cut it to look like the food than add flavor but the texture would really switch things up

    DO NOT RUN A GAME SERVER AND A WEBSITE ON A VPS. I now work for a company that provide virtual private severs and we keep getting idiots trying to run Plesk, a game server and websites on the same box. It doesn't work.
    How about running a counter strike 1.6 server and HLTV? What kind of specs would I need?

    I have had this question in the back of my mind for a while, What kind of specs would be minimum for running a Counter-strike 1.6 Server and a Web server with at maximum 150 people coming through each day?

    How do advertisments on webpages work? How much money do they really give you?

    How do disclaimers work? How Would I make a CS 1.6 Server Register every shot, have low ping and run smooth?

    Dammit i thought i would be able to help on this one because i had what sounded as the same problem. Sparda helped me all I did was single everything out i tried a new psu not it, than new ram and boom it worked :)
