My company uses domain login for Windows XP. I have an old laptop which has not been connected to the network for a long time. Over that duration, many cycles of "password expired, please change" has occurred, so I can't really recall what was the password used for this laptop back then. Ophcrack did not work for domain login. I really need the old data from this laptop drive (which the data is encrypted with the windows password). Company IT sucks, couldn't help retreive old passwords. Help, anyone? Thanks in advance.

Hm, I am able to login even when I am not connected to the server. Seems like there should be something saved offline to verify the authentication. Can ophcrack to used to scan the offline item?

In my office machine, after I logged into the company domain, the Windows XP login screen becomes different than the normal ones. It requires [ctrl+alt+del] to open up a login-password box. The login that I have is given by my company. So, in this box, there's 2 main logins: - The initial admin Windows XP login that is created during installation of the OS - The company's NTLOGIN So, I tried Ophcrack Live CD, and managed to get the initial admin Windows XP login password, but it did not detect the company's NTLOGIN at all. I'm guessing the NTLOGIN's hash is not in the pc itself, but it is retrieved from the network, so Ophcrack won't work on such logins? Question: 1. Does that mean the NTLOGIN style is not crackable? 2. If yes, how can I make such a login for my home setup, to secure up login at my home PC? Thanks in advance!

Oh, what if I want to just replace my mic jack with a modem?

Is it possible that I hook up the mouth-piece (the part where you listen and talk, I don't know the real term) to a Modem input, and then have it as a sound input for things like Skype, or even Windows Sound Recorder?

I don't know of any plugins that do that. Are you using media player classic to play your music library? O_o yes I am, solely because of its configurable keyboard controls.

Scenario: I have 2 monitors Question: Usually to switch a window from one monitor to another, I had to double click it's bar to Restore (from Maximized), drag it to the other screen, then double click the bar again to Maximize. Any 1-click solution for this?

yeah, for full quality, it is only 10 seconds, whereas for medium and low quality it goes to 30 minutes. It's stated in the manual, and yes, I have tried all the settings. Was hoping for a firmware hack....but i guess it is not open source?

Is it possible to create my own caller-ID device? perhaps display the caller number in an LCD, or maybe split the phone line into my laptop's modem, and have it displayed via software? I've been googling and asking around, but to no avail. Can anyone get me on the right track? Thanks in advance.
