  1. Hi, the Pineapple Nano just gets better with the latest firmware updates. The issues I am having (a few others reported the same) is that it tends to run 'hot', but apart from that it does what it is designed to do. Hak5 guys πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯just keep things going superbly 😎
  2. Hi madvideos, Just seen your bit on downloading it......excellent idea buddy. That way I can watch it on anytime I feel like updating my knowledge. Btw, I too have a 'stash folder' ☺️ Cheers 😎
  3. Excellent.......and I totally agree........I watched the first 58 minutes and found it really informative.........the guy really knows his stuff and with no adverts! Cheers 😎 PS. I also signed up to his pages, both the youtube and his own site.......waiting for my first email newsletter!
  4. That explains a great deal, thanks 😎
  5. Excellent advice. Thank you.
  6. Hi Guys, Jailbreaking the Nexus 6p is not without its problems, as there really is a ton of rubbish information out there! Followed one chap who was using the same setup, downloaded onto the windows 10, went through the process (debugging USB, Developer, Admin, etc.,) but the OEM decided to switch from on to off and then greyed out. Obviously it was not greyed out before, and now the device is still rooted, still have developer rights, but the OEM is greyed out. The best thing is that it shows that the 'bootloader' needs to be activated, which is where I am stuck at the moment. Tried factory and hard reset, both of which failed to address the issue. Any ideas, points, directions will be greatly received. Cheers as always 😎
  7. Hey guys, Quick update on the App. You need to ensure that your device is ROOTED and that you download the F-Droid or it will not work. I will keep you posted on my progress, but so far the rooted option resulted in the OEM being greyed out (it wasn't before), so no joy until I get that fixed! Cheers πŸ€“
  8. Hi Guys, Just found out (I am a bit slow) that Kali NetHunter is now available in the Kali App Store, so it must be in the Android store as well. It apparently works on all android platforms from KitKat (v4.4) to Pie (v9.0)! I find this truly amazing (if it works), and wanted to know if anyone else has tried this, and what the verdict is? Cheers 😎 PS. Apparently your Android device must be rooted? PPS. Here is the link: https://www.kali.org/news/kali-nethunter-app-store/
  9. Hi buddy, how is that working out for you? What do you like about it? 😎
  10. Thanks buddy, that’s the one I ended up getting 😎
  11. Awesome response.........thank you.....I too believe that it is now an excellent admin tool, which has so many uses. I like the design and will probably get another one for different packs. I feel a couple of rubber duckies are needed for other tests.......love Hak5 products and advice. Cheers again for your information. 😎
  12. Great instructions buddy.........good information 😎
  13. Hi buddy, Pleased it worked for you. I didn't use an android phone, I simply placed it in the micro SD slot and went to Advanced settings etc., and I didn't use a partition........ As long as it worked for you............enjoy 😎
  14. Hi guys, Please see the attached poll (just the one question). It would be great to see the outcome, as this will gauge where most users go in times of need. Cheers 😎
  15. Hi buddy, I have the same experiences (pineapple nano overheating). I completed the setup as per the directions provided in the two links, but to no avail. I have used the 'Y'cable and it overheats, I use it directly into the USB and it overheats, but I haven't tried it independently i.e. off a power bank. Any other tricks, say change the ariels for better ones or add a fan system? Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers 😎
  16. Cool......I will have a scout round.......thanks again buddy and catch up again soonπŸ€“
  17. Yes, a bit bulky........have it already (pi3 B+), and working it off Alpha etc., but I need a phone that will not standout and has a good sized screen, but not over 6". Working and walking about an office doing pen testing is great for a phone, but not for the pi, as this is used more for outside field work and greater distance is covered with the Alpha. Looking at the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S7 or something in that range through Nokia or Huawei. Any suggestions (probably not BlackBerry)? Cheers again 😎
  18. Hi Digininja, Great advice - unrooted it is - Thank you. I was thinking of getting a Nexus 7 for the Nethunter, but I am still looking at specs on the various ones out there. N900 is a no go for many reasons; battery life being one of the main issues. Any suggestions circa 150 USD to 200 USD? Thanks again for your response 😎
  19. Hi Guys, I have read quite a bit about rooted and unrooted Android devices running Nethunter, and thought that this could be of interest: Android 9.0 Pie was released on August 6, 2018, but the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X, Google's most recent Nexus phones, remained on Android 8.1 Oreo. These two devices will continue to get security patches until November 2018, at which point they will have officially reached the end of software support. Does this mean that if someone buys one of the devices shown, that it will not be protected if left unrooted? Should they then root the device and crack on with their lives, or does it really matter if using Nethunter? Cheers 😎
  20. Hey, I got one, did you? If you did, how are you getting on with it? What problems (if any) did you encounter her and how did you resolve them? Cheers 😎
  21. Hi guys, since the launch of Pwnie Express many moons ago, and then the introduction of Kali Nethunter, is it really worth the trouble to go through the entire setup process of Pwnie or should we just use Nethunter? Your views are greatly appreciatedπŸ‘ Cheers 😎 PS. Just to clarify: Pwnie Express provides full threat detection of every wireless and wired device in and around your workplace. We are the only company that detects rogue, misconfigured, and unauthorized devices across wired and wireless spectrums. and; Kali NetHunter is an Android ROM overlay that includes a mobile penetration testing platform. ... The overlay includes a custom kernel, a Kali Linux chroot, and an accompanying Android application, which allows for easier interaction with various security tools and attacks.
  22. Oh, I see. I don’t believe the drive is the issue, as I was working on the assumption that it was a nano issue. If you have the nano and follow the directions I provided I believe it should work for you. Fingers crossed buddy βœ… Cheers 😎
  23. Hi buddy, I got the ScanDisc 128GB and put that micro in the side of the Pineapple Nano. I then went to the advanced menu in the pine settings. I then clicked on the drop down menu (downwards arrow next to the word USB) and selected format SD card. Job done βœ… I then noticed the option to save my selected Modules to the SD (Module Manager). NB. I decided to delete all modules that I had on my internal storage and reselected all and saved each one to the SD. I hope this helps in some way. keep at it buddy. cheers 😎 PS. I found issues with Kingston SD cards, and have converted to Scan Disc for reliability, even if they are slightly more expensive.
  24. No worries my friend, I am pleased to hear that it worked, and I will be using the same process later. Cheers
