  1. The lack of documentation and the fact idk what the wifi pineapple is really fully capable of doing is really bothering me. Can someone point me in the right direction, should I be learning the kind of stuff you need to get Networking+ certs? I have so many questions on what it can and can't do and other features, but I can't see anywhere that any of this is being covered... I have seen the 20 min video with the basic features and the "documentation" on the site, but honestly it is not enough for me.
  2. So I plugged my USB into the nano and it doesn't seem to detect it in dmesg or fdisk -l i'm not sure how to go about this, can anyone help?
  3. Just had to replug it in, everything is working great now. Thank you, I appreciate the help. Also, was wondering what use an extra wifi dongle would have with the nano? I have an Alfa AWUS036NH
  4. It was a new tab, and I closed the new tab that said it wouldn't affect anything. What should I do? Should I unplug and plug the nano back in or would I risk bricking it? Considering it might still be running in the background
  5. Okay so I waited before trying to go to the pineapple page after I did the firmware recovery process and it's stuck on "The Wi-Fi Pineapple is still booting" and i've been at this page for a bit. What should I do? I can't ssh into it, its refusing my connection.
  6. It's not connecting at all now. I've replugged in the nano to check if it would work after that, nothing.
  7. Now in the middle of the firmware recovery, it won't connect to 192.168.1.1 anymore, it keeps giving me a notification that my network is disconnected (seems to be referring to the pineapple as ethernet) and I honestly don't know what's going on.
  8. Begin holding the RESET button on the device. With the RESET button held, power on the device. Continue holding the RESET button for 10 seconds, then release. So you're supposed to somehow hold down this tiny reset button while plugging it in and waiting another full 10 seconds while holding it? Because I just don't see how this is going to work, the button is too hard to continue holding that long and especially when trying to plug it back in.
  9. Begin holding the RESET button on the device. With the RESET button held, power on the device. Continue holding the RESET button for 10 seconds, then release. I do not understand, i'm supposed to literally hold this tiny button for almost 15 seconds+ straight and then while doing that plug it in? Wtf?
  10. PineAP Daemon keeps disabling itself and refuses to turn on. I've tried it on both Linux and Windows 10, no difference there. Any suggestions?
  11. I see, so could I connect to an open network and basically 'mirror' that connection so thei internet really works on it and confuse other phones to connect to that WiFi connection that is conected to my pineapple nano? Maybe deauthenticating them? Although not sure why the phone would randomly decide to switch to my network.. unless im dosing the public one i'd assume or continually deauthenticating that specific user from the network continually (if that would work right) I see, and is a domain required for evilginx in this situation? Never used evilginx before, not sure if it even requires a domain but ive seen that in tutorials. so essentially you could do more then just stealing credentials, like infecting them with malware throughout the entire network? or am I getting this concept wrong? Also not sure what a pineapple detection system is, but sounds interesting, I will google this.
  12. I'm planning on picking up the Pineapple Nano Tactical quite soon, and was wondering a few things. Is a 4G modem basically needed for this if you're not tethered on a connection? And can you not monitor and crack networks without a connection in the first place with the Pineapple Nano? Also, does this device really make it any 'easier' to crack WiFi networks persay, or do MITM attacks much smoother, rather then using say, Evilginx?
