  1. Thanks for the help and making me understand how it works. Now I need to figure out all the options in the pineapple, like what karms does and all those other tools.
  2. Hey @Mr_Protocol I didn't have to setup the ip address 172.16.42.42 in the windows "Local Area Connection" . Once I took the ip address out the adapter changed it's name to pineapple. I ran the script in backtrack and no error message some up picked up my gateway... I was doing the long way UGH... hahah well I learned .. That's always a good thing. Off the topic -- There use to be videos of darren when he was interview by this one lady that sat across from him and she was logging into a bank site. How was he able to capture that data and what script was he using? Would you happen to know where that video is ? it use to be under the pineapple on the old site towards the bottom.
  3. LOl... Well here are the steps I took . I first connected to my wifi and made sure I was able to sure the web on my windows machine first. After that I did the steps below. 1. Went into my windows network (Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections) 2. Right click on wifi connection - > properties - Share table and checked "Allow other users to connect ect... "home network set to" - Local Area Connection... Said okay 3. Right cick on "Local Area Connection" that would be GIG ethernet card on laptop - 4. Set up the 172.16.42.42 information under the ipv4 settings. Closed all those windows and started up virutalbox 1. Went throw the whole creating vm box. 2. Then went into the setting of the vm and click on netowrk 3. added adapater 1 as GIG ethernet controler ---- added other adapter 2 and that one was wifi adapter. both are set to brigded 4. after that i bootup mypineapple and everything worked. Now that i'm reading this over i notice something. On part 4 setting the ip address on the Local Area Connection (ipv4) would that be the reason it worked because I did it on the windows side and not in backtrack?
  4. I just connected my iphone to it and I'm about to surf the web just fine. Even when I look at urlsnarf I could see all the site I'm going too. That being said then do you think everything is fine now?
  5. Thank you very much. I did the same thing on my virutal box. Adapter 1 is my etho Adapter 2 is my wifi When I do ifconfig you could see that eth0 was already picking up a ip address from the pineapple. I was able to get internet access even with that ip address. eth1 is getting ip address from my router 192.x.x.x. address. root@ubuntu:~# ifconfigeth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr inet addr:172.16.42.103 Bcast:172.16.42.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::a00:27ff:fe6b:1b4f/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:16666 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:13193 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:15503110 (15.5 MB) TX bytes:1611959 (1.6 MB) eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr inet addr:192.168.1.15 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::a00:27ff:fed9:d574/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:732 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:48 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:59412 (59.4 KB) TX bytes:8838 (8.8 KB) After I ran the script I get one error message. Would you happen to know why? I notice one thing different from your is "internet gateway" since my gate way on my win7 laptop is setup to a 192.168.1.1 address that's what I should enter right?
  6. Well I have am happy for myself. I was able to unbrick my pineapple, load the new version bin file. Got internet connection between wifi - laptop (eth0) -> pineapple -> out to then net. I even created the usb storage page off a 4 gig sandisk blade so I could install my modules on it. The only 2 I have current is "status" and "get" one. Which one do you guys have installed and if you don't mind me asking why? Now I have to test outside my network to see how it goes and see how it works... Next i need to setup my ssh on my laptop and that should be good I guess..
  7. did you have a chance to setup your virutalbox and adapters to see if I did it correct?
  8. See thats how learned to install iso. I have always downloaed the iso and installed it on a vmware system. Then after that I custom my setup once I installed it.
  9. Question for you what is the difference between the vmware one and the regular iso? I have always downloaded the iso rather then the vmware image. Just wondering what the difference is.
  10. From reading above the comments. To run airmon-ng you have to bring it down and bring back up... What happens if you want to change the mac address is it the same? You bring it down do a macchanger -r then bring it back up?
  11. @amoeba yes I setup my win7 ICS to share but rather then doing it on my ethernet controller , I did it on the wifi adapter. @Mr-Protocol Now i'm kind of lost what you said about in-line ... Sorry this is all new to me on setting this up. please if you do have time that would be great on setting it up the correct way. I tried to search the board but couldn't find proper instructions. thank you,
  12. Since my pineapple has connection to the net now. When installing the modules do i install them on the pineapple or the usb storage? What is the best pratice on this? Will it run better if it's installed on the pineapple or usb? that's my next step after getting the pineapple up and running.
  13. Well i have a quick question on intenet connection between pineapple, wireless , and ethercable. Since I'm on a win 7 machine I configure my wifi to be "Shared Connection" like the instruction said. My network cable adapter I did setup with 172.16.42.42 ip address etc.... So now I switched over the virutal box and installed 2 adapters . One is for ethernet controller , and other one for my wifi adapter. (To get on the inetnet I'm using the wifi adapter ) I boot up my pineapple and goes through it's whole process. I then boot up backtrack in virutual box. Once backtrack is up and I open a terminal window off the bat i'm am able to ping google, and the pineapple. I'm able to ssh in the pineapple just fine. My question is do I need to run the wp4.sh if backtrack gets internet connection and is able to see and remote into the pineapple?
  14. i did everything I could on the vm stupid software... UGH just gave up on it and installed virutalbox. I added 2 adapters to virutal box, same to vmware...The other one went to internal ethernet card (eth0) and the other one went to my internal wifi card (eth1) Still left the sharing turn on the wifi and still left the ip setting on the eth0 172.16.42.42 etc... Then started up backtrack did a ifconfig and guess what I was able to see both cards. Did a ping test to the pineapple (okay) ping google (okay) brought up my browswer ( okay) everything worked less then 10 mins in virutal box. UGH so stupid i spent almost 6 hours trying to figure out vmware and stuff. it's 4am so I will work on it tomorrow again to make sure and take notes for future use, plus some clean up and moving my image to virutual box. Good NIGH@@@@
  15. I'm was wondering if someone has a solution for me . I have a laptop running win 7, vmware player with ubuntu or backtrack depends how I feel in the day. I did the whole sharing network config stuff on the windows side. I'm able to ping the pineapple, and ping google from windows side. I ssh into the pineapple using putty from the win7 side. Once I ssh into the pinapple i was able to ping out to the net. \ thank god that worked!!! the real problem i'm having is my vmware backtrack can't get any internet service.... UGH. In vmware I'm able to ping the pineapple fine, but when I try to ping out to the net it doesn't work. Do i have to change something in the vwmware network adapter that windows created, or do I have to change in the vm machine setting something under the network adaptor? I'm so lost and getting very pissed that I can't figure this out. It's been almost 4 hours here and there trying to figure this out.
  16. Thank you I will look once again, right now I'm just creating other VM on ubuntu .. Once that is done I will set it up and check.
  17. oh that's what he was talking about ... lol... What he said ...;-)
  18. Well that's a good idea, but I'm still trying to figure out where I could download those modules , and how to install them... Once I figure out where to read about them, and see which one I like then iw ill have to figure out how to install them and run them.
  19. Would you happen to have instructions on how to do this in Backtrack 5 r3? I tried looking for the disk utility but couldn't find it. Thanks,
  20. What do you mean reset time? For me to follow the instructions took about 10 to 15 mins to fully restore it.
  21. Well after reading a couple things, i started up my win 7 machine. changed my network adapter to 172.16.42.77. Then started up the pineapple, i was able to ping it. Then I started up my vwamre that I have ubuntu running. I was able to log into the pineapple and ping google. I believe I have my pineapple up and running with internet access going throw my wifi connection. Guess that was simple and stuff. lol... What do you mean the interface you could install them? Plus where do you get the modules from?
  22. This is good steps on how to install sslstrip... I tried looking on the forum before posting or I'm searching for the wrong phrase but how do you create the swap on the usb, and install the sslstrip software on the usb? Sorry i'm new to the whole pineapple stuff. Starting to learn from scratch...
  23. Hello all, After fixing my pineapple and updating the firmware now I want to start playing around with it. Since i'm new to the whole pineapple thing where should I start? I tried to configure my laptop that is running win 7 and vmware with ubuntu/backtrack to get traffic on there. I am having some issue on which network device I need to share my internet connection or steps on how to set that up so I could use backtrack or unbuntu plus pineapple.(hope that makes sense) Other thing I keep reading on the forum is module... Are modules special tools made for the pineapple and how do I get them plus install them? I tried to find them in the wiki site but can't find where to download or how they work. Sorry for the dumb questions but I have to start at the bottom..lol... Thanks,
  24. I know what you mean. I received mine yesterday and I reset my pineapple stayed up until 2 am working on it. So exciting to get it working, and thank god it's not a brick anymore....
  25. I know there's an option to clear the cache logs and stuff see if that helps
