Hi Folk, I am using RTL-SDR to take dump of cell tower located in my region. Till now,I am able to take GSM incoming call dump which is working perfectly OK. Now, , my goal is to analyze GPRS connection initiation (GPRS attach) and corresponding signaling data. I have tried the scenario by switching OFF and then ON the mobile data but I couldn't see any packets related to GPRS. Is there something I am missing?

Objective: to take live dump of LTE traffic using grgsm with USRP N200 I am using grgsm_livemon with USRP N200. However the window of scan is no greater than ~2.4MHz whereas USRP provide more than 20MHz bandwidth which is enough to scan LTE frequencies. How can I increase the window size so that i can use grgsm with N200? or if it is even possible to use grgsm for LTE Frequencies? Also i want suggestion of any other easy to configure tool which can help me acheive the above task? Many thanks and regards

A single GSM cell is served by a single BTS. However a single cell has support for multiple frequencies. Does this mean that a single BTS has multiple ARFCNs?

The dump is taken in test network deployed using OpenBTS. TMSI allocation is working and I can see TMSI for each handset on terminal however air interface dump captured using RTL-SDR doesn't show anything useful. Also, I am using Open Registration feature of OpenBTS setting. Can you guide how to share file via attachment option because when i select 'insert other media' , it says that i have no existing file to attach. How can I upload from my system?

Hi Folks, I am telecom enthusiast and my love to get into telecom stuff started since the day I opted my degree project with OpenBTS . Well, I keep reading about new projects and tutorials on youtube. It is few days back that I was testing my network in test environment with two phone connected and happen to take a dump of air interface in wireshark. I noticed few paging msgs with 'no identity' followed by few with TMSI/ TMSISs in them depending upon the paging type 1,2 and 3. Why there are few paging msgs with no identity? is it some Idle state broadcast paging ? Looking forward for reply Regards
