I recently downloaded and set up an ubuntu medai server. I was hoping to be able to set it up to automatically download the show so I can watch it when I get home without having to wait for it. But I have no idea how to go about doing this. Could anyone give me a hand? Thanks.

tryed Vista Boot Pro and when it tried to load it just went to a blank screen and locked up. EDIT: Forget it! i'll just take what i want from the old drive and then reinstal XP or Vista. ...then maybe get back to installing OSX... EDIT 2: wow this whole permissions thing is a bitch.

well great. fucked that up. i tryed editing the boot.ini to boot vista off my second hard drive and now it wont even boot to xp. running my vista as my main drive right now because XP wont load. any ideas?

msconfig was the first thing i tryed to get it to stop but it still tries to load it.

well i suppose i got the boot thing figured out since it boots. but it still try's to start the acronis thing before it boots. i was wondering how i could get rid of that. would deleting all the registry entries do it? and it's been a while since i messed with the registy so how do i back it up just in case i mess up? thanks

i installed acronis boot loader. and it couldnt find my windows on my SATA drive. so used another drive as a master to delete the program. but when i started it still trys to load the boot loader. i went to change the boot.ini and when i opened it it was blank...

just tryed that as i was waiting for a responce. no luck

for some reason when i change the password and i boot into recovery mode. type 1 and hit enter. the password is wrong still

ok. so for some reason the password wont work. Are you saying if i start with 98 in dos mode and type c:> fixboot c:> fixmbr it should do it?

well i installed a stupid program and it fucked up my boot.ini. i need to do a system recovery with my XP disk. only one problem... I dont know the administrative password. Is there any way i can "recover" it or reset it or anything? thanks for any help in advance..
