  4. I be an american, and I sadly have to agree with you on all of the subject matter. But most of the fault is to the big bussiness people and the offical people that is leading the U.S into the hole in the ground, and will eventually kill us all. So I guess that saying must be true, "Give me liberity or give me death!"
  5. This might be helpful but I dont know, I had the same problem, I checked all my hardware, software and things over and over again. So to start with the basics, I removed on peice of hardware at a time. and in doing so, I found out that I had a hard drive going bad and that was the cause of my problem, and I have not had ever sence that. (also a custom built computer, with a use hard drive) But in all, that might have not been the cause, but for me, that is was it was. But maybe try geting a new or used hard drive and see if that is the problem.
  6. Well, the computer that I have the 16gigs of ram in, is really nothing but a play toy, it took me a long time to put the money into it, but it was worth the wait. Total cost, $2,567.90 - custom built desktop/server They all are windows xp home and pro based computers.

  9. MMM, very intersesting thread, I have to say that I like it a lot. I myself had a harddrive fail, and a 120 gig maxtor, but it was like 5 years old, in and out of 4 computers, use for storage, windows os, linux os, and what not. But I have never had any trouble with Maxtor, Western Digital, Or Segate. But just for my personal opinion, the only two brands that I trust is Western Digital and Maxtor, never tried a Segate, something about the name bothers the hell out of me for some reason, and never tried on and never will. Hope that I am not raining on anyones parade of segate harddrives
