  1. Thanks for your input :) I will try that. Just fyi though, I did not run PineAP simultaneously with Site Survey. What bugs me a bit is this and this Did I misunderstand this, or do they sell and ship kits including battery packs designed for use with the pineapple and then those very packs do not provide sufficient power to actually run the hardware? The battery pack and backpack are from the kit are nice, but had I known this I would have only ordered the tetra by itself for a smaller price -.-
  2. Um... I got one y-cable which is plugged into two USB ports on my computer and then the ETH1 microport on the pineapple. Which usually works, but only for a certain amount of time (usually about 20 minutes into working with the tetra it reboots). I have also bought a 12V/2A European plug that would (or should) work but didn't try it out yet because in case there is already something wrong with my tetra I didn't want to damage it any further... Would I just use the regular plug on 12V/2A and still connect via the y-cable (but only use one of the two USB plugs) or should I use a regular USB to micro USB cable then? Is there any way to determine whether or not something is wrong with my device using the logfiles (or another method)? I am not sure about US return policies but I guess in case something is actually wrong with my pineapple, I should know asap so I could still get an intact replacement in time.
  3. hi, i have recently purchased a WiFi Pineapple Tetra from hak5 shop. After setting it up (and flashing the latest firmware) I started trying it out. I gotta say that I am neither a professional it guy, nor a hacker - I merely wanted to mess around to see how secure my personal wifi at home is. So maybe this is totally on me and has nothing todo with the pineapple's setup and/or configuration... but anyway: At first I connected the pineapple to my macbook. After several attempts to share the internet connection, I gave up and connected it to a laptop running the latest kali. Internet sharing works (or rather, used to work, but that is not the problem here), so I went on. When I start running PineAP or (plugin) Site Survey, the device reboots after a while (meaning within less than 20 minutes). Each and every time. I followed some of dks video tutorials meticulously, so there should be no error at my part. I also re-flashed the latest firmware in order to make up for possible configuration errors. Still, whenever I work with the pineapple, reboots happen. The interface does not notify me of this and simply stops responding after a while; when reloading, I have to login again and can work for another 15 minutes or so. Unfortunately, there was no EU compatible plug included, so I am exclusively running the pineapple via USB on my notebook or with the powerpack included in the package deal. So this should not be a problem wrong currents or anything like this either. Since I live in Germany, I didn't just want to return the device because of high shipping fees. Maybe this problem can be solved with your help... I really hope so and appreciate every input. Cheers =)
