  1. Recently went through a clear up of my desktop and dock icons.
  2. If you really dislike the name, you could always create the folder elsewhere or hide it, then create a shortcut to it with a more suitable name. I don't see why they hid this. They should have made it an option, at least in the administrator tools.
  3. I'll be out at new years, so it will be my phones resolution, 480x320 :D My new years resolution is to try and be more outgoing, rather than be stuck behind a computer screen most of the day.
  4. I cant even remember the name of the algorithm used it was that long ago. It was using PHP-CLI (when it first came out), and the input was like "side#-x-y-colour:side#-x-y-colour" so not very user friendly, it was more of something to do rather than trying to build something for public use.
  5. I haven't played with mine recently, but I did build a PHP script to solve it :D
  6. Shirt made me laugh. I got some money towards my new laptop, a 16GB SDHC Card for my camera, a book entitled "Is it just me or is everything shit?" and a Michael Fish Weather Fridge Magnet Set (shown below).
  7. Sorry to hear that, hope you feel better soon Darren. Lets hope the hospital doesn't have a wifi network, or there might be some medi-pineapple action going on.
  8. They have another site http://www.mediacoderhq.com/index.htm
  9. Facebook.com - Become somewhat addicted recently
  10. Thought id get a christmassy desktop,
  11. Thats what ive been trying to get the owner (Karl) to do, but he's not understanding. I don't have access to change permissions. Ive offered to do it but he doesnt want me to if he doesn't understand what im doing. Im literally an in-game admin only.
  12. Been having a similar problem on my usual GMod Server too. Im an admin on it so have banned/kicked them but no use. They just keep uploading their scripts. The server owner is trying to stop it but no use :(
  13. I could understand if it was a really expensive software package, and there was no free/cheaper alternative to it, fair enough. But its £20 ($30), not exactly bank breaking. If you must know, you delete the following entries: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run That should do it.
  14. I care, all morning I have to listen to high pitched screeches of "OH MY GOD! HE IS SOOOOO HOT!!?!" etc
  15. Agreed. Take me, O2 are currently doing work on my exchange, so my internet is up and down all the time at the moment. I currently have a lot of school work that I require my computer for. Recipe for Disaster. I like having my files and programs on my computer so I have full control, and can access them whenever and where ever I want.
  16. "What's this LAMP thing your talking about? I don't think the budget allows us to buy new software." - IT Manager, old job
  17. deleted

    sigh

    Congratulations America :D
  18. I like Karen's Replicator. It gets the job done.
  19. Im not quite sure what your question is. If its how to deal with the teasing, then just ignore it, don't show that it bothers you. At school I got called a nerd but my reply was "Im a geek, not a nerd, get it right" and about a week after I started saying that people left me alone. Bullies can zone in on what bothers you. If you mean show them by hacking/cracking/hijacking them, then this is the wrong forum mate.
  20. OS X Server's advantage is that everything is simplified into wizards and step-by-step installers rather than endless config files etc etc etc Like setting up LDAP, a pain to many people on linux/bsd but on OS X server is stupidly simple, granted you do loose some of the customisability.
  21. You just create a zone file like you would for any other domain but with your local TLD. I did at one point do this, but couldnt justify having an entire DNS server for a few local domains to make my life a bit easier, so what I do now is just add a couple of entries to my host (/etc/hosts) when I set up a machine.
  22. Theres a difference between Austria and Australia.
  23. +1 to VaKo Another reason is Licensing. Companies can pretty much do what they want with with Linux without worrying about licenses. If companies used windows for something microsoft didnt like, the big MS could wander along and say stop, who is going to say stop doing that with linux.
  24. Some airlines still use Windows 3.1 for basic menu systems.
  25. The schools Internet should only be used for work related things. Is accessing hak5 that urgent an issue, or can it wait until you go home?
