  1. Thank you. Yeah it shows that header when i putty into it. just was not sure because i don't recall it going through the red/blue flashing sequence.
  2. the version file states 1.1_128 but that could just mean the txt copied over. also not seeing a udisk folder.Looks like the new folder structure came over but still not convinced it went through the firmware update properly, Where do i see the bunny header? again sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the help
  3. okay looks like it installed, but not certain how to verify? also how to make certain helpers are installed as well.
  4. ugh...did i screw something up its flashing red continuously and the bb does no seem to be showing up in my computer as bash bunny anymore. how to reset it to factory?
  5. you literally just moved the 446mb compressed tar.gz over to root in arm mode?
  6. jhack did it go through the 1.1 install though, red/blue alternate colors? How did others get the 1.1 to install? did you literally bring the tar.gz files and copy it over to root with the previous 1.0 files?
  7. So how do we technically install this? Yes i know darren says copy it over the tar.gz file but is it really that simple, or do we uncompress it first? Do we put it in root along with the previous 1.0 files and it will overwrite? Sorry been away for awhile and don't wanna mess up the upgrade. thanks edit: okay brought the tar.gz file over in arming mode, safely ejected it, plugged back in. was green for reboot for like a minute now its just flashing red (not red/blue alternate)
  8. This seems awfully sensationalistic No offense but you just want something to make people go omg fear mongering instead of the opposite hmm..that looks interesting let me learn how that works so i can better protect myself and learn. Hollywood and the media do enough in that regard. You just want everything handed over to you and trying to twist it around that he or us are trying to be rude and unhelpful when in fact you deflecting it because your lazy or don't really wanna know how it works. Gimmie the solution but I don't wanna go through the work and effort. Did I guess right? asking for help and then playing the poor sympathy martyr card when you don't like the answer is awfully immature and pathetic You want to give a presentation on something when you don't know how the device works? You get offended when called upon it and you show no intention to even learn how it works beyond a rudimentary response you'd expect from a child "just give me what i need" attitude.
  9. Windows 10 64. literally pasted the entire contents of tools_installer into switch 2 folder. Unplugged plugged back in switched to position 2. Literally goes straight to green/purple and immediately to red.
  10. I wish someone would put together a step by step video/guide on how to properly setup and install the helper tools and diagnose and ensure that they are working as intended.Alot of the scripts seem to require them. Darren can you make the next firmware basically install them or any accessory helper files by default?
  11. Yeah i realized that. Still just having the option between installing manually from the web repository and an auto-installer would be useful for those that might be having problems getting scripts to work.At least in that sense it would drop everything where its supposed to and verify the default configuration. I do realize that later tweaking and configuration will be in order and never completely automatic. The auto-installer will not completely solve settings issues.
  12. I'm mainly just left wondering why this product was released prior to proper testing as it very much feels like a product that was released as-is with the users left trying to figure it out and fix it which at 100 bucks makes me wonder. Hope darren fixes these problems soon.
  13. yes i realize that its not all plug and play. That said there are steps that can be done to make things easier and less have the users tweak it and fix it themselves mentality. So acting superior because it works for you does not resolve anything. While I'm not expecting to just plug this in and it automatically works its not too much for a product released to have the bugs worked out for a product selling at the price it is. There's more than a handful of users having problems getting the BB to work and is not quite as drag and drop as darren implied in the video. It was literally an introduction video that was rushed through instead of a proper beginner tutorial video. Again I mean no offense to darren and what he is doing.
  14. Heres an idea. Since so many people are having problems getting the helper tools to install. Why not in the next update darren have them install by default sorta like plugins that can be easily downloaded and removed easily ala wifi pineapple
  15. Pretty sure we all did those easy steps but still having problems.
  16. Hope this gets patched by darren. Also implementing an auto installer via repository ala wifi pineapple would be helpful.
  17. Okay i moved over the file, edited the install.sh file with your version. Switched to switch 2 and now it seems stuck with the amber color for the last few mins.
  18. Moved it and still solid red. Also not sure why moving vs copying makes a difference.
  19. Still no luck. funny since Darren made it sound so easy. And before anyone comments yes i copied it over, yes i checked it,etc etc
  20. I did move all the files including subfolders and associated files noob. Looks like everything is proper unless i missed something.
  21. Windows 10, x64. in switch 2 folder i have copied over in arming mode /tools to install dir along with install.sh and payload.txt. Safely ejected. flipped switch to position 2 and red light no go. Fails to install. Must have tried at least 3-4x by now. Not quite buyers remorse, but Kinda depressing to throw down a Benjamin on this and have the vague feeling it was released prior to being polished more upon release. Again mean no offense to darren. Hope these kinks get worked out and he puts up more tutorials/beginners guide that doesn't rush through everything. As i suggested being able to access a repository directly from the device itself to auto-install scripts with needed dependencies would be great
  22. There really should be a dumbed down beginners step by step guide as a youtube video if anyone is so inclined to make one for those new to bashbunny. A simple step by step guide with Everything from setting up, updating, and running basic scripts.would be great to have as a resource I know we have the web repository but how about a simple installer like wifi pineapple had where you could login and you could choose to automatically install updates and modules aka scripts with needed files. Log in choose to update, have a repository where you can pick the script you want choose which switch 1 or 2 and boom it installs the script and helpers no fuss no messing around
  23. BB should arrive tomorrow hopefully. Just curious when we will get a video tutorial guide for beginners?
  24. Yeah i realize grabbing images might be a problem given time and not to mention space requirements ie: some people might have gigs of them. The alternative being to set them to upload to a server
