  1. I did look at wigle.net and it doesn't seem to have what I am looking for. For example I am looking for a list of "Open" access points and something I can sort for something like the top 1000 of them (For pineAP). I did download the ssid file that they have and it doesn't say what the encryption type is. Granted, doing proper recon is the best bet but I am looking for that tiny edge to go after devices that do not broadcast the SSID that they are willing to connect with.
  2. Does anyone have or know of somewhere of where I can find a list of open hotspot SSID's? I am looking for as much of a complete list to dump into PineAP. I know I can search wardriving result web pages but I am sure someone else has already though of this. Thanks in advance!
  3. Finally! A question I can answer. I just weighed mine and it was 9.5 oz. with default antennas.
  4. Some reason my Nano is able to see 32 SSID's (SSID Pool in PineAP) while the Tetra can only see 19. There are no filters and both devices are at the latest version. Both systems are in the same room and both have been factory reset. They both have the default antennas as well (all pointing up) (Nano does have the in-case 500 mW antenna upgrade. I have cleared both lists of SSIDs at the same time and both have been up for days for this test. I have noticed this before so I wanted to put both devices in the exact same configuration for this test. This does not make sense. My next plan is to change antennas on the Tetra which I don't want to do since I want to keep the Tetra at the lowest profile. The antennas on the Nano are smaller anyways. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot?
  5. It looks like the Open AP SSID was too long. I was able to test this on a nano & tetra. When I reset a pineapple I change the SSID to something really long. After a reboot it failed to connect (except though the rj45 cable). When I shortened the SSID to something reasonable I am able to reboot both systems and connect fine without resetting anything. I have tested this several times. So, it was a fix for me.
  6. Same issue. I can't connect to the Admin or Open AP but I can over eth0 (rj45 ethernet). Once in I change the admin wifi password (back to the exact same password), the wireless resets, and then I can connect to the Admin or Open AP. When I reboot I have to do this all over again.
