yeah, well i cant really go anywhere with this (like i said, i'm noob) since i cant seem to get my wifi card to work in promiscuous mode, even in linux... its a ralink chip rt61 i think. however in linux once i set it to monitor mode, wireshark cant see/use the card... any help would be appreciated

no, i dont want to connect to an AP, i want the DS to think it is connected to another ds (which it will be only it will be through a tunnel). so basically capture packets from ds, send from pc to pc via internet, then send to ds, and vice versa, to enable internet play on games that only have local multiplayer (like Call of duty4) I dont see why a similar setup to xlink Kai wouldnt work with the ds

hmm, well, im having issues very noob here. basically i am curious about the nintendo ds wifi, so unfortunatly i cant associate with it from my pc, although i am able to get the macaddress of the DSes so i should be able to sniff the packets from the devices. just i cant :( does anybody have any ideas as to wheter it would be possible to capture the communication from a ds, send it through the internet and have another computer resend this daa to a second ds? im pretty sure this has been looked at before, but i cant really find anything on the net about it

Hey, just wondering if any one knows a simple way to capture some packets sent from a device, store to a file, or just memory, and re-broadcasting them a short time later? I'm sure there must be a simple way in a packet sniffing software, but i do not know :P oh and by the way, it is all wireless, i am grateful for any suggestions

Hey, I want to create a batch script to run mencoder on WinXP, to convert some video files, mencoder.exe "FILENAME.MPEG" -ovc xvid -oac copy -xvidencopts pass=1 -vf scale 512:288 -o pass mencoder.exe "FILENAME.MPEG" -ovc xvid -oac copy -xvidencopts pass=2:bitrate=300 -vf scale 512:288 -o filename.avi using 2-pass this script works fine, however I want to start mencoder with priority BelowNormal, but when I attach "start /belownormal" to the start of each command the batch just starts both the 1st pass and 2nd pass at the same time, So how can I make it wait for 1st pass to finish before starting 2nd?

really this depends on whether he is listening to radio, (which can easily be jammed, or broadcast over ;)) , or if he's listening to CDs, MP3s, vinyl etc, then you will need to "affect" his amplifier, which is obviously more difficult. a simple solution could be to get a hold of a remote for the stereo he has, using some kind of reflector between your and his windows.... could work, depending on the position of his stereo with his window

its only really starts using large amounts of ram when you have a lot of tabs open (which i'm sure a lot of us do) but isn't the result going to be the same with ie7? I haven't used ie7, AT ALL!

Hi, I want to packet sniff my own wireless network (so i have full access obviously) but I want to sniff the emails i send from my wii to find out how to transfer "Mii" via regular email (PC-PC, PC-Wii) . I figure there is two ways nintendo could be filtering the emails, firstly because its not being sent to or from an @wii.com email address, or there may just be some info in the header or such of the email. any way, I'm complete noob and never packet sniffed. I have wireshark, will be putting a wireless card in my computer this afternoon, but is that all I will need? will i be able to authenticate myself through wireshark, to get around any WEP encryption?
