SDRplay has announced announce the release of SDRuno v1.3 which includes a powerful Frequency scanner. The introduction of a fast frequency scanner for SDRplay products has been greatly anticipated and this will make SDRuno the first fully featured SDR package with integrated frequency scanning. The scanner has 2 modes; it can scan an arbitrary frequency range with a defined raster or it can scan through a list of frequencies from the memory panel. It can store found signals, has a number of built in pre-sets (including the marine and air-bands) and has the ability to both wait on signa

SDRplay have released a new version of the RSP TCP Server with both standard (8 bit) and extended (up to 16 bit) modes It allows any RTL-SDR-compatible software to use SDRplay Hardware (RSP1, RSP1A, RSP2, RSP2pro and RSPduo in single tuner mode) on a LAN or over the internet on a WAN.Additionally, any EXTIO-based SDR software can use “extended mode” which makes sure you get the full ADC resolution over the internet connection (e.g. up to 14 bits for an RSP1A). Any EXTIO-compatible software can make use of this and SDRplay provide the plugin which includes all the RSP-specific features li

SDRplay have updated 2 key libraries on all supported platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux – both x86 and ARM based). The first of these libraries is SoapySDRPlay (https://github.com/pothosware/SoapySDRPlay) and the second is gr-osmosdr (https://github.com/SDRplay/gr-osmosdr/tree/sdrplay2) SoapySDRPlay is used within the SoapySDR framework for applications that support this flow, e.g. CubicSDR and Pothosware gr-osmosdr is used within the Gnu Radio framework for applications that support this flow, e.g. Gnu Radio Companion (GRC) and GQRX For more information, go to: https://www.sdrplay

Today, we released version 1.1 of SDRuno. The bandwidth for non SDRplay devices (e.g. RTL-SDR) has been extended to 2.5MHz. New features for the RSP include a calibrated power measurement facility, an SNR meter and automatic S-meter calibration. There are many additional improvements and fixes. To find out more, documentation can be found on http://www.sdrplay.com/docs/SDRplay_SDRuno_Release_Notes.pdf and the software is available to download from http://www.sdrplay.com/windows.html Many thanks to Paul Jones and Mike Ladd who have worked hard to get the new features documented in an upda
