I think what caused it to do this was leaving it in the washing machine, however I'm a bit worried that if I try this again the effect won't be the same. Oh well yolo lol

I used to have this usb wire that connects to my phone, I plugged it into my computer and it turned the screen black in an instant as it was plugged in. What could be causing this? It was really cool, I didn't see it as a problem, but I've lost it now, and I'm wondering how I could maybe make a new one, I've got tons of these wires back at home. the wire was white, it connects to an android and a pc
