Weird , I am also using Kali with virtual box and I am not having any issues running the wp6.sh script to connect , If you have a newer computer or laptop try plugging in the nano directly into the "charging" USB port (it will have a lighting bolt next to it) and see if you are still having the issue , if the issue continues do a factory reset and start over

within the virtual box app did you go under devices,usb and select the wifi pineapple ? if you did check and see if it is still connected to virtual box

That happened to me as well but all I had to do was refresh the page to get to the login to finish setting it up , you may want to do a factory reset and start from the beginning. Factory Reset Settings may be restored to defaults using the factory reset procedure. This process will restore the device to the initial configuration of the latest installed firmware. Upon performing the factory reset procedure initial setup must be performed, setting the root password and SSID. To perform a factory reset from a fully booted WiFi Pineapple, hold the RESET button for approximately 7 seconds. The device will then reboot. Alternatively the factory reset may be performed from the web interface. From the Configuration page, select Factory Reset from the General menu. Note: data not stored on external media (USB / SD) will be erased during this process.

You need a lan turtle then if you want to steel passwords on a locked device , in order to use the duck a user has to be logged into the desktop

I use the Alfa AWUS036NEH it works great no issues going into monitor mode and injecting packets it was also plug n play

Mint should run on just about any laptop, but I would not go below an i5 or A10 processor, and 4gb of ram is fine you can always expand if you need more but you need to figure out how much you want to spend and figure out which one is the best out of the price point you are comfortable with

You have to use the ducky flasher www.mediafire.com/file/dzi3bd3ettb58mh/ducky-flasher.tar.gz here is a video on how to set it up and use it -
You have to remove the micro sd card from the duck and the put it into the micro sd card reader that came with the duck
