And yes I've ticked internet connection sharing

Hey guys, got a newish Mac book pro 2015 osx elcapitan on it and having connection issues. I've followed the steps as stated to set up internet connection sharing. Manual 172.16.42.42 255.255.255.0 8.8.8.8 I can connect to the pineapple but when I go to network infusion and click show external IP I get connection error. So basically it's not sharing internet with my Mac book. Anyone else had this issue
