id use winamp and vlc player and you could just put the computer in hibernation rather than shutting down

so all you'd need is a graphics card with a composite out or s-video if you can hook it to the tv you could find one online for 30 bucks nothing fancy but i'd work

Ok i know my battery's li ion batteries go dead after about three years whether you use it drain it all the way or not they have no memory. They are just constantly dying so don't go and buy a new battery for you laptop that has been sitting on a shelf for two years.
