from all the tutorials I read, when you run make menuconfig ste your device then run make V=s it I supposed to build all files and the tool chain for that device an the compilers are in the staging_dir/toolchain/bin directory is this not correct. Yes I have an openwrtVM, but havet done much with it in a while.

when typing mips-openwrt-linux-gcc -o hello.c -o hello in all of the ones ive tried so far say mips-openwrt-linux-gcc command not found. although it is there and if I run file mips-openwrt-linux-gcc it tells me al about the executable file. I can compile in normal gcc without problem NB installing comiler to nano is not something I want to do as I am looking at writing code for a number of mips devices.

ran several of the sdk installation including toolchain installatiom compile fo x86 perfect but when tryto use mip_gcc compiler (forgot the exact name now) always get command not found. I don't want to build ipk t the moment just executables that I will scp into the mr3020, wr703n and eventually the pineapple.Sorry for delay in answering just finished another tutorial which doesn't seem to work.

Hi does any one know or have a working setup for compiling you on c code for openwrt? For the last 6 days I have trawled through google, found loads, tried them an none of them work. surely somebody has a working set up I can duplicate! regards kerravon

I use a combination of IR reworkstation and Hot air reflow station when repairing pcbs, yes you can use small guage modding wire to reconnect, but it may be possible to repair the pcb tracks themselves which I what I was talking about. need a close up of the area of damage.

found this The raspian has a service called ifplugd. This ifplugd is a daemon which will automatically configure your ethernet device when it is plugged in and automatically unconfigure it if it is pulled. So, it does the device stay busy. Disabling it allow you to use ifconfig and iwconfig normally. Just use the comand: $ sudo service ifplugd stop

whay os are you using and which flavour? is network manager running if so turn it off.

Try this fix and try again. let me know Make a backup of /etc/default/ifplugd and change HOTPLUG_INTERFACES="all" to HOTPLUG_INTERFACES="". vi /etc/default/ifplugd then reboot .

are you running hoover.pl as root as this is required?
