Got a wild hair to try out testing DECT sniffing. Bought an Ascom voo:doo Type III card (Dosch-Amand Com-On-Air clone) and a nice little IBM ThinkPad T42 to run it on.
I installed BackTrack 5, which comes with dedected pre-built, and while the dect_cli utility seems to work, it doesn't seem to pick anything up. fpscan and callscan get nothing (ensured I set the right band). Dump_eeprom doesn't work (read error on /dev/coa), but it's not clear that it's expected to for the Type III cards.
I don't know how to test this thing otherwise to see if it's a hardware issue. The LED doesn't light. Any suggestions?
