  1. Why is Kali and Ubuntu mate on my raspberry pi 2 calling my ethernet interfaces enx123456789123 (123456789123=HWaddr or mac address) and wlan0 is the same way wlxmacaddr. Im puzzled as to why it does this?
  2. I personally dont know how I havent played with metasploit to much yet but be patient im sure somebody will answer soon enough. Google all sorts of different things for your situation, you might find something that will help you figure it out.
  3. One thing I have noticed with the Raspberry pi 2 is that the Nano will not make a full connection when plugged into the PI. Ive tryed plugging in one usb then both usb and nothing just blue light blinking forever. When I plugged the Nano into the PI and the other end of the Y-usb to an external battery, It worked just fine no problems. The Raspberry Pi Zero on the other hand worked just fine with one usb plugged into a 4 port usb hub. I dont know what the difference is, but that might be your problem. The Pi 2 just isnt putting out enough power at the usb ports (even with 2) to make it start up properly. <--- Thats my thoughts on it, I could be wrong, idk what kind of power the Pi2 usb puts out compared to what the nano needs to run. But i do know that the Nano works just fine with 9dbi antenna and a usb wifi dongle running on a 5v 1a 3000mah battery.
  4. I have not tryed this yet, but if you have a small wifi dongle like the one in the hak shop, set up the nano and start Pine AP or Recon, to turn mon0 mode on for wlan0 i think it is. then plug in your wifi usb dongle and connect to the created AP on your phone using wlan2, connect to that AP and your ip will be something like 192.168.XX.XX You'll have to download a different wifi hotspot app that will show connected devices ip address. Once you have the ip for the nano go to your browser and type that address in with the port number. so 192.168.XX.XX:1471 and it should connect. If you use a different wifi dongle than what you set it up with, the nano will connect to the AP still as its still wlan2, but the IP address will be different because it is a different device. I have mine setup with 2 different wifi dongles in case i have to use one else where and it works just fine with my phone
  5. I went with the 6P and im pretty sure its only a matter of time before nethunter comes out for it. I like it a lot but I have big hands so I can one hand it pretty well. My moto x 2013 seems like a little mp3 player now. I have still have to use it when i wifi tether to the nano because I havent rooted the 6P yet to get that feature (damn you straight talk), but I have been considering Google Fi but still researching more on it.
  6. Ive tryed many different tutorials on google and youtube and never got it. Then all the sudden yesterday it worked and I have no idea what I did. do and "ifconfig" and look for an "en#" usually 4 or 5 or so, make sure it shows the pineapple ip, thats about all I can say.
  7. If you got this working let know how plz nvm I got it!!
  8. yes it is just /www if you put the cabinet module on your NANO it should be in the home directory at the very top
  9. I put raspbian on my pi zero and installed aircrack-ng, kismet, wifite, and i think something else. It ran great and i would run it through ssh and didnt have any problems. More processor demanding programs might not work so well but the zero is small and has worked well for me so far
  10. Patrick and Shannon were talking about this earlier on twitter, seems the best way to go for a tor router for size and price https://www.anonabox.com/
  11. both phones are great and have there own pros and cons and yes I was more looking for why they choose it instead of "I have it, I like it". Ive been researching each for for about a month watching videos and reading articles about each. Ive seen the problems with the nexus 6 battery swelling up on some people but has anybody had any problems with the 6P yet is what im wondering?
  12. I have the same problems. Mine will boot with no blue light and i can login but PineAP wont enable and wlan0 wont connect and i just reset and good to go or 3 tries to boot. But ive had more fun despite the problems than ive had in a while. making landing pages for my roomate and messing with my other router. Its great I have also tryed to reset and let off the button a little and no reset. Make sure your holding it down all the way. I know it sounds stupid and im sorry but ive done it so...
  13. what OS are you using, I dont think it will matter but
  14. I had the same problem a bit ago today when i connected it to my raspberry pi and I thought it was a power issue but i connected both usb and still the same thing. I then connected it to my desktop and it worked no problem. Try a different pc and see if that works
  15. Im also very interested in the USB Armory, I dont want to pull the trigger on getting one as im still messing around with the raspberry pi zero and still learning everything about the NANO. The Tor Router is what im interested in. Something smaller than the Raspberry pi zero that can do the same thing would be great.
  16. Personally, I would keep the ssd in the gt70 unless you use the other laptop more, also if you are going to use the ssd for linux as of now and i could be mistaken but trim support is default for intel and samsung ssd only in Ubuntu and many variations of Ubuntu (i.e. Mint). You might be able to find a way to get trim on other ssd's but I have not looked that up as I have an intel ssd and trim is working just fine. I would keep the 750 in your main for mass storage and use the other 500gb for a system backup for the main system and or windows on the main rig, use the 1t as an external mass storage and or even a backup so you can use it on either machine. amazon has pretty good deals on external cases for hdd, I put my sisters 500gb hdd from her mac in a $20 case and it works great, just plug the usb in and all the power runs through that. I put a 120ssd in her mac to make it faster and she backs everything up on the ext hdd
  17. how many hdd does each laptop hold? Kali isn't really that great of a daily driver in my opinion
  18. What form factor are the HDD's? keep the usb sticks free, I find myself making live usb and keep them handy at all times, you can make some discrete storage devices with usb sticks and hubs and small cases.
  19. im well overdue lol Thats what i was thinking. I have a 32gb now and not much room at all for anything. Thanks for all the input
  20. I have a VPN setup on my linux machine. My NANO connects with eth1 everytime with 172.16.42.240 and I just go to my browser and enter 172.16.42.1:1471 and it connects no problem. That is running wired or wireless connection for me. I also use a vpn on my mac and run a Linux mint VM, which i have the NANO setup to connect to automatically and it connects the same way, no problems.
  21. I tryed to do the same thing and the more i see the tac edition the more i wish i would have just gone with that. It is a very good price and from what ive seen the case that Darren picked is perfect and quality with the molle strap. I spent about 150 but pouch has an internal case for holding antenna, spare battery and other cables. the downside is the antenna dont quite fit right and I cut a hole in the bottom for the cord before i figured out i could connect using a wlan2 interface connected to my phones wifi AP. It would be awsome to see the tac pouch for the nano on the hak5 store. I would snatch one up!
  22. Yea i have prepaid so i tend to go for anything i can unlock i have a moto x dev edition 2013 right now and it can be unlocked but its not the same as the nexus 5 i had. thats kinda where im coming from an older device to a newer I think im goin to go with the 6p 64gb the more and more i read the more and more im convinced that is the right choice in the long run
  23. As the title stats, Im upgrading phones within the next week and have been contemplating the 6 or the 6p. Ive read review and review and countless comparisons. Im to indecisive to pick, they are both great phones, but i need help. What are your thoughts, the price is not a factor.
  24. You actually need to find the ip address that your phones AP gives to the nano and then go to chrome and type that in, mine was 192.168.43.27:1471 and it worked great. I tryed to get it working once before but the wlan2 had already connected to my home wifi and always connected to that instead. i reset the pineapple and connected to the Phone AP with wlan2 and boom worked great. that was with a moto x 2013 and i had to use a different app for wifi tethering because the stock android Hotspot wouldnt show me connected devices to get the IP for the NANO, Im fairly confident that it will work with a nexus 6 as well
