Oops i think i meant Newbie

I recently got this product. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VZ1AWQA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpageI was able to install SDRSharp. And i've been able to pick up FM stations. But I have not been able to get anything else. I looked up frequencies for local airport and police, but even if i find a signal at best all i can hear is a tone. I would like to hear voice. Please advise. TY
