Did we pay the last payment on that blimp yet? Oh, and I think it's $45 million now, that last shipment was a big one... Edit: Oh sh*t... Darren... didn't see you there... we can explain, honest...
  2. But it would be both fun and hilarious ;)

    Xvid to DVD

Nah if you set the options right you can get some VERY nice output from WinAVI and it's fast 'n' all, it's served me well all the time I've used it... Work very nicely for packing anime on to DVD too btw :D
  5. http://www.hak5.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t...&start=1031 Please don't duplicate posts unless you have a reason. Welcome. Locked.
  6. I believe you're correct. I believe Jettas rock. Edit: Except that time we were in the next town and the guy who was driving managed to make his gearbox die...
  7. Why not go the extra mile and instead of having just a rotating banner image change the image and theme so every time you log in it looks identical to another site's forum... Example: I log in, it's Hak5... I log in again and it appears to be NGEmu forums, I log in again and it's BetaPlace... see what I mean? ;)
  8. For a minute there I thought you said you'd rather use a fan instead of a window on a HDD... that could be interesting ;)
  9. Ehh I remember finding it way back when it was in beta, we used to use it in college... downloaded it again recently, logged in, logged back out again and uninstalled it...

    Xvid to DVD

WinAVI Converter is blazingly fast at converting Xvid to MPG2/DVD and then once you have the VOBs it creates you just burn it to a DVD in the folder in the usual DVD dir struct.
  11. Oh the solution that often works on this kind of thing (rather than reseating components to solve 'chip creep') is to kick it... that actually sometimes knocks the components back in to place </don't try this at home>
  12. Are you sure that's the 'real' SVCHOST? Why is it trying to write to 0x0 when that memory doesn't exist, that's the address someone someone sent me to crash a program containing something trying to write to it... Could be a bug but you claim you've been hacked... see where I'm going here?
  13. Yeah the code will be up shortly, you'll likely be disappointed at how simple it is ;)
  14. yeah we actually had a Hak5 Hamachi but no-one used the thing... /me shrugs cheers and welcome to the madness *me starts singing Can I Play With Madness?*
  15. Well from what you say it doesn't really sound like it is that secure... Oh, and NOD32? See my AVKiller... means nothing ;)
  16. Aww... turned out to be a bunch of balony... oh well, the search continues...
  17. Now I'm not one for smap usually, but observe our newest member: Mind out, she might be a Sony... Edit: I meant 'spam' but since 'smap' (pronounced smahp, not SMAP) is such a classy typo I'll leave it ;)
  18. /me buys special edition pre-packed hax0rflakes-in-a-bowl and tries again...
  19. /me pours Red Bull in to his box of hax0rflakes and doesn't realise until the can's empty that it's been dripping out the bottom of the cheap cardboard box ever since he started pouring...
  20. You can do the same on Windows, use Shift+Alt+PrntScr and set whatever colour scheme you like, an inverted black and white scheme with huge fonts maybe? ;)
  21. Yeah I do have some Symantec killer code in there but it's currently unfinished and borked, it's possible it might knock off parts of Symantec but I haven't said it supports Symantec yet since it's unlikely to really do much...
  22. well it still runs as the user, i am running on a xp pro 64x edition. sorry bout that thing bout lot of task running , my system is now doing it on its own . so i'll ask wot for on another thread ...) also when trying to incorporate it into a switchblade without nircmd it opens 3 windows for a slight second , those shudn't b visible (but i'll run it thru nircmd .... (if it still works tht way) Yeah it's 32-bit only which could well be why... The 3 windows are NET STOP commands and I've not heard anyone really complain, one or two people have mentioned it but the windows don't appear for long enough to see during mine and others' testing...
