  1. I purchased the new right angle antennas for the Nano and they don't seem to connect properly.

    The SMA connectors are bottoming out on hte plastic shell of the nano, causing the antennas to be very loose. I'm pretty sure they center pin of the SMA is not making contact in it's socket.

    I was thinking of removing the shell and enlarging the hole in the plastic shell so the connector could seat properly, is there a guide or a video that shows where the clips are so I can non-destructively open the nano?

  2. I use a rMPB with Kali under Fusion.

    The easiest way is connect the nano after Kali is running and tell vmWare to connect the device to Kali and not the OSX. Then you can just run the wp6 script and everything works pretty well.

    I've also done it by connecting to the Mac, turning off assigning IP to that interface in MacOS then giving maping that NIC to a virtual switch in vmWare, but that's considerably more complicated.

  3. I have an odd use case and I'd like to employ my Pineapple.

    I'd like to have connected clients think they have internet access, even though they won't.

    For instance, I know when an iOS device connects to an access point, it pings captive.apple.com looking for the world "Success" to know if that connection has valid internet access and is not a captive portal requiring further steps to activate. Microsoft and Android have something similar that I would also want to emulate, although I haven't yet researched their exact details.

    What would be the best way to emulate this on a nano? I presume I would need a DNS server, and a web server of some kind.

    My end goal is to have clients connect to my Pineapple, then any request they make be answered and return no/random data.

    Anyone done anything like this with a nano yet?

  4. Is there any ETA on when/if the tactical bundle of the nano will come with a Y-Cable that supports data rather than just power? Not a big deal, just wondering if I need to order one separately or not whenever they come back in stock.

    The Y-Cable does support data, at least mine does. It's the MicroUSB cable that is power only.

  5. Alternatively run a VM on your MAC with pfSense and route the pineapple's USB nic directly to pfSense to get your shared Internet. Then you can either use another VM to talk to your pineapple, or route the MAC's network through the PFSense VM.

    My nano hasn't shown up yet but that should work. I've done similar operations it in other similar situations.

  6. The modules are still being ported to the new version. This would be a great time to learn to do some things without needing modules. I could help you out if you'd like.

    I don't know about phoneman, but I'd love some basic intro to doing things without modules. Even on my MK5 with modules, the ability to understand a bit more about what they are doing and how would be great.

    I have a basic understanding of Linux, and I get that "it's just linux!" but lots of the tools used are quite unfamiliar to me. As a Windows admin I understand the concepts but the nuts and bolts always need a different wrench.

    I think some overview tutorials in this vein would be beneficial to a lot of people.
