  1. If you're booting up Kali then the Mac OS plays no part. I don't know of a single Linux distribution that doesn't play well with the Alfa AWUS036NHA.
  2. 1. Yes, get the Alfa AWUS036NHA, works straight out the box. 2. Not really sure what you mean but you should do just fine with any Linux support forum. I wouldn't really recommend Kali unless you know what you are doing, Ubuntu would have been a better option.
  3. It helps if you have some knowledge of Linux, just read up on SSH and SCP, it's very simple.
  4. Thanks for your response. Wouldn't they be on the same subnet by default? I'm guessing I will need to change the IP for Pineapple B to 172.16.42.2?
  5. Yes, simply use SSH or SCP. If you want to do this from an external network you will need to setup port forwarding (port 22) on your router to your Pineapple.
  6. Would the following sceanrio work? Pinapple A is running the complete PineAP suite. Pinapple B is connected to the internet via WiFi/3G. Can you provide Pinapple A internet through ethernet using Pineapple B?
  7. Stick with the 036H, whatever you do don't get the NHA. It totally effs up the Pineapple to the point you need to re-flash the firmware. The NHA works great with laptop/PC but not with the Pineapple. Plus you hardly get any support on this forum.
  8. In theory, no. From what i understand, if you forward the open network to a captive portal then any network would behave the same way. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Wait for a senior forum member to confirm.
  9. Thanks for responding. I already have a NHA but when i connect that, it brings down wlan1 and wlan0 on reboot, I have no idea why. I will re-flash the firmware and test again. Would you know how to connect to an AP via command line? Basically I want to configure it using the DIP switches.
  10. Does wlan1 have to be down in order to use the PineAP suite? Basically what I'm try to do is provide internet via wlan1 rather then using ethernet.
  11. Thank you for your response. Apologies if this sounds like a retarded question, but would it be safe to get a 5V battery with a 3A output. Im guessing the Pineapple will only draw what it needs (2A) and not more? Last thing I want to do is fry it with too much power. Thank you.
  12. Hey guys, New to the forum, recently purchased a Pineapple and I was hoping to get some advice on batteries. Which of the below would work best with the Pineapple MKV: http://www.amazon.co.uk/6400mAh-Portable-External-Technology-Motorola-Black/dp/B005NFOA0S/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1427133901&sr=8-16&keywords=Anker http://www.amazon.co.uk/16000mAh-Portable-External-Technology-Motorola-Black/dp/B00D5T3QK4/ref=sr_1_4?s=telephone&ie=UTF8&qid=1427134169&sr=1-4&keywords=Anker http://www.amazon.co.uk/10000mAh-Portable-PowerIQTM-Technology-USB-charged-Black/dp/B0063AAIRG/ref=sr_1_9?s=telephone&ie=UTF8&qid=1427134169&sr=1-9&keywords=Anker I'm also going to get this cable with it as I've read it's not wise to use USB to USB: http://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-Type-Barrel-Power-Cable/dp/B009JXJITS/ref=pd_sim_computers_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0FYPV9KN9CW1DR9YTB4N Please note I have gone through other threads on this forum in regards to this and the batteries recommended are either no longer available or not sold in the UK. Feel free to recommend anything else besdies the above. Thanks in advance.
