  1. here is the review i did for vista to get all my latest reviw join my twitter - http://www.twitter.com/russellarrowr or http://www.qiptechmedia.com Over the last 5 years Microsoft has been coding and designing their new Vista format. It may look 'WOW' as Microsoft advertises. But - lets take look at what it really takes to install the upgrade version of Vista! We went to a National retailer 'Dick Smith Electronics' and brought Vista Home Upgrade - the version the sales assistant told us we needed. It cost around $175.00 AUD. Back in the office we tried to upgrade an Acer Aspire 1640Z laptop from XP to Vista, but it would not accept the code. I waited 3 hours for it to install from XP to Vista. Nothing happened. So I restarted the computer and did a 'clean install' of Vista. It wiped everything from the harddrive. Everything gone. All programs, document, pictures everything gone! A technician from Microsoft advised me that many people are experiencing the same problems as I had, while trying to install Vista. He said many people are booting from the CD instead of installing Vista from XP. I wondered why Microsoft has allowed people to boot when the computer boots? The Microsoft technician had no answer. Apparently Microsoft did not think this one through - in spite of 5 years design! Secondly: Why is Vista so heavily focused upon families? After hours of wasted hassle time trying to install Vista - I don't think it was worth the effort. My recommendation - stay with XP or go Mac. - Review By Russell Harrower - http://www.qiptechmedia.com/newsstorys/13022007/Vista/
  2. Hi guys just wanted to let you know We have our new site template up and forum
  3. Why not have both, QipTechMedia TV which was started by myself, is a site for Tech shows, we are already teaming up with a number of companys to bring shows to the Internet using p2p and non p2p software. Ill tell you how we work. Lets say you don't know of Hak5 but you know of QipTechMedia. After watching a show of Hak5 you wanna see more. so what you do is click shows and then click HAK5 or the show name then you get taken to there own page. That is hosted by QipTechMedia. Then not only can they watch all the shows you have in your xml file (FLV) they can also download the file as well. I have sent an email to Hak 5 and tryed to call them however no answer.
  4. Hi guys just a quick update QipTechMedia has opened there website www.qiptechmedia.com it has a forum and you can see what is coming up in the next few weeks.
  5. Thanks for your feedback so far. At the moment we are just testing the station to make sure it works to the letter T. I have opened the Test channel so users can see we are not messing around. I know quite Odd to tell people about something that is new and not out. Also we are not clamming to be Tech TV. what we are saying is that we are a Tech Station that broadcasts on the Net. We will be playing tech shows and so on from the 1st of Feb. We hope that there are Tech Video Podcasters like Hak 5 that will allow as to air there shows. We will give them FREE on air Advertising. Also we can do Live Broadcasts i just worked out how to do that tonight. Its 7:05am over here Perth Western Australia. If you would like to have a look at QTM aka QipTechMedia go to http://qipcast.com/blog/?p=16 Also we will be streaming a Peer2Peer server to using SopCast.org we hope this way we can hold more viewers. As Australia has at max 512 by 512KBPS however we are working with people to get around the bad internet speed. We may turn to server streaming instead of having the server in house. Keep your feed back coming.
