  1. I'm currently running Ubuntu 16 and was trying to setup the wp6.sh

    I took the following steps:

    wget wifipinapple.com/wp6.sh

    chmod +x wp6.sh

    sudo ./wp6.sh

I get the following error: .wp6.sh 1: ./wp6.sh Syntax error: redirection unexpected

    I also tried

    sudo bash wp6.sh

Any thoughts or anyone else have this issue? Thanks

  2. I had a question that I wanted to see if anyone has encountered or heard of. At my work 2 devices had all search results in Google Chrome redirect. On the desktop all image search results would come up with large people. On a Chromebook any search result came back with porn. Unfortunately someone wiped out the desktop so I was unable to get my hands on it to look it over. The systems are generally locked down (the desktop by GPO) and the Chromebook by Google admin. Anyone run into this before? Thanks

  3. Their response was that was all that they could do at this point, which is unfortunate. Also what I forgot to mention in the above post was that at this point I guess what I would like to know is, is there a way to boot a system without the drive being read on bootup (already took it out of the boot order) so I can try to run a disk wipe utility.

Or if anyone has any suggestions on a hardware/software solution that can either decrypt or remove a SSD SATA drive password. Right now I'm seeing if it's cheaper to go that route or replace 15-20 128gb SSD drives.

    Thanks

  4. Previously I posted a question in regards to a locked SSD drive (relatively old topic so I created a new one. If this isn't acceptable I'll delete this and bring up the old one).

Brief issue/question: I have about 15 laptops that a unknown user placed a password on the hard drives through the BIOS. The drives are SSD drives and on bootup will ask for the password. Repeated failure will result in the computer turning off.

Done: Removed the drive from the boot order, disabled the drive in the BIOS, slaved the drive to another computer, booted up with Boot'n'nuke (and other programs), Called Samsung (it's one of their drives) and tried to use their Secure Erase software, Slaved the drive as a USB device, and plugged the drive in after the computer has booted up.

Result(s): No matter what the setting or if the drive is a primary or slave it will always ask for a password on bootup. If it's plugged in after a computer has booted then the drive will be locked.

Final: If I need to replace the drives that's doable, but if there is anything else anyone can suggest then I would like to give that a try. Also had the site techs double back and ensure that the passwords on the BIOS was set on the remaining systems and external booting methods were disabled on the other systems.

    Thanks

  5. I had a quick question that I wanted to throw out. A unknown user thought it would be funny to put a HDD lock on a couple laptops (Samsung MZ-7TE1280 drives) presumably from the BIOS. The system is a NTFS file system and I tried hooking it up to a different computer, setting it up as a slaved drive (HDD password follows it), I ran Boot n' nuke to try and format the drive (It errors out after 10 minutes or so), and tried running the 1 utility that I could find (hdd unlock). Preserving the data isn't all that important, though it would be nice to keep it in tact to try and isolate who did it. Any suggestions? (also contacted Lenovo on this issue. Not that I expected them to help with that particular issue I thought I'd ask anyways). Thanks

  6. Ahhh... I thought it was probably something simple that I missed. Works great now on my Windows 8.1 test system thank you! That went a long way in helping me understand how to properly use this now.

I also found a error in my open URL inject which I corrected to the following (works now):

    DELAY 3000
    GUI r
    DELAY 500
    STRING cmd /c start http://www.hak5.org
    ENTER
    DELAY 1000
Thanks for the help and quick reply
  7. I had a couple questions if anyone has the tine and patience to answer this:

I've been playing around with the Ducky and been digging through the forums, however I'm still having a issue launching the inject properly.

    • The systems that I am testing on are Windows 7, 8, and 8.1
    • Running the script through the online encoder
    • US keyboard and OS
    • Tried formatting the SD card
    • Tried multiple computers

One example is when I run the "Hello world!" script:

    GUI r
    DELAY 500
    STRING notepad.exe
    ENTER
    DELAY 1000
    STRING Hello World!

It doesn't run unless I already have notpad open. Looking over that script it looks like it's supposed to open it first then type the "Hello World!" in

The second example is launching a webpage when the Ducky is plugged in:

    GUI r
    DELAY 500
    STRING start "link" "https://www.hak5.org"
    ENTER
    DELAY 1000
The DOS box flashes briefly, however nothing happens after that point.
In all cases the Ducky's green light remains on and blinking which looking over the forums is a good sign as that means it's communicating to the computer (from what I understand).
Thanks for your help on helping me understand this device.
