  1. Dear all. Short questions: Is someone currently working on a DynDNS Infusion or has a solution how to use DynDNS with an attached 3G modem on a Pineapple?
  2. Then try to re-flash v1.4 and reinstall the infusion afterwards. Could be the fastest option.
  3. Works fine on my device. Do you have the current Firmware installed?
  4. Did you try to reinstall the infusion? Could fix the problem.
  5. Hi Sebkinne. I have a T-Mobile Speedstick (Huawei E398) that worked under v1.3.0 without any issue. Since v1.4.0 it is only recognized as USB storage. USB_Modeswitch does not work. Seems to be a driver related problem. lsusb shows the device correctly: root@Pineapple:~# lsusb Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 001 Device 002: ID 058f:6254 Alcor Micro Corp. Bye. and sor sure, not /tty/USB* devices are created: root@Pineapple:~# ls /dev/ | grep ttyUSB root@Pineapple:~# Any idea what happened? btw. My 3G configuration needs a pincode to be set. So far I manually edit /etc/config/network to add the pincode option. Can you add a configuration field to the pineapple management interface, please?!
  6. For a well suited WLAN Testlab you just need: Laptop or Desktop with internal Ethernet and Wifi Virtualbox https://www.virtualbox.org/ Alfa AWUS036H http://www.amazon.com/Alfa-AWUS036H-Wireless-Original-Screw-On/dp/B002BFMZR8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1400792990&sr=8-2&keywords=alfa+awus WLAN Router http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-DIR-601-Wireless-N-Home-Router/dp/B002VJL0OS/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1400793080&sr=8-8&keywords=dlink+dir-600 Wifi Pineapple Cost without Pineapple and Laptop: less than $60 Setup a vitual machine as victim with Alfa card connected for WLAN access and your host as attack machine. Therewith you can create nearly any real world scenario.
  7. Would add http://www.securitytube.net - for me the best place for video turorials !!!
  8. Good Youtube Channels are: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK15ED34btB3NZznGIXQuwA (Chris Haralson) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3s0BtrBJpwNDaflRSoiieQ (Hak5) btw. if you want to lern how the device works, better do it with your own devices and keep others out of your game. Your results will be the same if you play the victim yourself - but without legal consequences. Buying some necessary stuff will be even cheaper than holidays in jail.
  9. Ah, its going to get content. Last weekend the page was still empty. :) I will finish my howto and then will see how far Daren is with his content to combine it.
  10. Hi guys. I am a visitor of this forum since I owned my first Pineapple (Mark IV) but so far had no real use to register here - until now. I have seen that many of you have problems to configure their 3g modem connection, so I decided to write a small Howto for this in the next days. So far I will include the following topics: + how to figure out if you modem is supported + how to figure out the right connection settings + how to find out the necessary information to create you own usb_modeswitch configuration Are there any other points that you would like to have included? @Darren: Will try to make it detailed enough so you can integrate it into the Pineapple Wiki.
