  1. I was wondering if I could get some help with my new Mark Vii.  The first thing I would like to know is which antenna is for which radio? I would like to label my pineapple with the radio for each antenna.  I also wanted to know if anyone was able to get the Alfa AWUS036AC to work with the Mark Vii? My pineapple sees the device when I lsusb. I would like to be able to use this card to detect 5Ghz networks and work with them.

    Thanks for your time

    Mark

  2. i am running 1.1.2 on my nano. I have the autossh module installed. What I am trying to get configured it to be able to access the GUI via autossh. I have it working right now to be able to ssh into via port 2222 as remote and 22 as local. I have tried to add -R 1472:localhost:1471 to the /etc/config/autossh that ends up disabling my autossh. What is the best way to get this to work so I can access the GUI remotely?  I have read through everything and I am just not getting this at all.

any help on this would be great

    thanks

  3. On my nano I have set it up to auto connect to my open vpn server upon internet connection. I did all this in rc.local

my question is how do i test that the iptable settings are correct with all connections going through tun0?

My other question is how to I configure the connection to autoconnect if the connection gets dropped?

  4. with gpsd I like to be able to see it live where the pineapple is. I'm not sure how to do that with Kismet. What i was able to do on the Mark 5 was setup kismet and GPSD and have them run together and war drive for a little bit and see what I can find. I also like gpsd when I had the GPS logger for the mark 5 working really well and i was able to just see where i left the pineapple and have a direct link to google maps and get a live view.

What I would like to do is pretty much create a module that will turn on and turn off GPSD and show me the coordinates and let me click on it to bring me straight to google maps. I just don't know anything about programming so this is going to be a tough one for me.

  5. Someone will have to cross compile them. Openwrt doesn't have it in their repo for this version. Not sure if an older version would work.

Okay, here's what you do. (Not responsible if this kicks your dog, burns down your house or gets your girlfriend pregnant.)

     wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/generic/packages/gpsd_3.7-1_ar71xx.ipk

     wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/generic/packages/libgps_3.7-1_ar71xx.ipk

     wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/generic/packages/libgpsd_3.7-1_ar71xx.ipk

     wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/generic/packages/gpsd-clients_3.7-1_ar71xx.ipk

    opkg install gpsd_3.7-1_ar71xx.ipk libgps_3.7-1_ar71xx.ipk libgpsd_3.7-1_ar71xx.ipk gpsd-clients_3.7-1_ar71xx.ipk

Once you've got all that installed, plug in your gps and do a

    gpsd /dev/ttyUSB0

Then to see if it's working, do,

    gpsmon

Should give you something like this.

This worked with no problems. I am going to try to setup kismet and see if i can do a little war driving with this.

Thank you for helping out with this. Now if only I can figure out how to make a GPS module to track the nano that would be great. I am just not great at programming..

    Thank you again

  6. Ok so I have factory reset the nano a few times worked. It great for a bit was then getting a solid green light on the nano had to kill power and start over. No extra modules are installed. Each reset I format SD card. I have refreshed again as well. I got a good 3 hours straight out of nano and it wasn't doing anything just sitting there powered on. I went to con eat to its Ap and I wasn't able to do so. Cut power restarted and I can get back in. This is frustrating especially if I deployed this somewhere and it stopped responding. I want to get the tetra in the future but if I can't get the nano to work right. Any help would be great. Not much has changed in the dream.

  7. Does this happen every time? Even after a factory reset? Does it happen immediately or after some time?

Can you provide the output of the "cat /etc/config/wireless" command?

    Best Regards,

    Sebkinne

The factory reset didn't happen yet. I removed all the passwords from /etc/config/wireless and replaced them with 'blank'

  8. I will flash and then reset and all work fine for a day or so then I can't run PineAp anymore until I reset again. I had the nano tethered to laptop so there was no external WiFi to supply Internet and wlan1 was not being used in client mode. I just factory reset the pineapple. If PineAP still doesn't work I can post /etc/config/wireless

Or do you want that anyway

  9. No, it is not normal.

I suggest you factory reset your WiFi Pineapple NANO.

You can do this by navigating to the Configuration module and selecting "Factory Reset" from the General dropdown.

    Best Regards,

    Sebkinne

Thanks Seb for getting back to me. Any idea why this is doing this? This is a new nano maybe 2 weeks old. i have had to reflash numerous times and i have lost count how many times i factory reset this.

Do you think it's a faulty nano?

  10. I can't seem to remember now but is it normal for wlan0 to always go into monitor mode when turning on? I can't seem to get PineAP to work now. It won't enable and I keep seeing wlan0mon on and i can't disable it.

Any help would be great. here is my dmesg

  11. Was wondering if anyone could help me. I want to buy a cheap small screened laptop that Linux whether it's Ubuntu, mint, kali, backtrack will run with no problems. Something to take with in my tactical bag and to work with my pineapple. Any help would be great.

    Thank.

  12. Greetings,

Ever since the GPS infusion has been removed I'm not sure how to go about setting up GPS on my pineapple. I am still a noob and any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you all in advance.

    Mark

  13. I know how to change my ssh port on my Ubuntu server.

What I want to do is on my relay server my Ubuntu server vm I would like my ssh port to be 1667 not 22.

now on the Pineapple under AutoSSH I have the port set to 4567 (as a test for now) and the listen port 1471

Now under the host how can I point the Host to port 1667? I tried to add -p 1667 to the end and it still didnt' work.

    any help would be great.

    Thanks

    Mark
