  1. Yes sir, it was usually showing as cable unplugged. Even when I got it to show it was connected, I couldn't connect or find any devices in that network range with an IP scan. I mailed the unit in to you and noted to please test it or the replacement unit before mailing it back. I know you're busy but I hope someone can verify that I will get a properly functioning unit. I'm really excited to use my pineapple.

  3. Thanks for your reply!

Ok I set my IP to 172.16.42.2 and tried to ping 42. It just times out.

My manual that came with the pineapple says to plug in an ethernet cable and it will assign a dhcp addressin the 172.16.42.0/24 range. It then says to go the the pineapple admin page at 172.16.42.1:1471. Or "Alternatively, you can assign your computer the static address 172.16.42.42/24. That's why I was doing it the way I was.

If I try it the way they suggested, even with a static on my PC, I can't ping 172.16.42.1.

  4. I am having issues connecting to my pineapple V via ethernet. I set my ip to 172.16.42.42/24 and tried other addresses in the subnet. I am also unable to get a dhcp address. I can however connect to it just fine via wifi and mange it that way. Latest firmware and everything. If I put it in recovery mode (or whatever it's called to upload the new stager) I can connect in the 192 range. So I know the ethernet port is functional! Any insight guys? Thanks!
