I wanted to get into networking but I have little to no background knowledge, other than casually managing a windows home server, and decided to start with pentesting and to pick up a wifi pineapple to learn. But a problem here (Colombia) is that all routers are locked to prevent port forwarding via the router settings. So, before buying a pineapple I want to ask if any port forwarding will be need to access the pineapple and use it or any specific payloads that will need manual port forwarding of the internet connection itself from a router.
Once again, I am learning and have no knowledge of how things work (other than the pineapple university tutorials and a handful of Hak 5 episodes) but I thought why not start now. While being a network noob I do have computer skillsets so I'll manage fine other than my question, I'd really like to learn vulnerabilities and work on improving my campus' network with knowledge I will develop with my investment
Regards,
Luke
